1. That's funny I'm in southampton and there is probably 20-30 yetis in the local area I have noticed they are becoming common as dog pooh. And I have never had the displeasure of seeing a Dacia duster unfortunately there are plenty of oversized squashqais around hate them with a passion.
2. But cheap options plays hell with can bus, also if you have reversing sensors it sends them ballistic and they use the cheap option of using scotchblocks which cut into the wiring loom which in turn voids the skoda warranty. And is not a ideal way of properly wiring in the tow electrics. I got towbar prep done on the build and bought a genuine towbar used off ebay for £120 and fitted and coded it myself all in all probably cost me about £300 all in.
3. You want one of these bike racks I use to carry my MX bike on the back of my focus with one no probs at all http://www.davecooper.co.uk/bike_racks.asp http://www.davecooper.co.uk/motorbike_racks.asp
4. Yep snow foaming is definetly satisfying when there is foam everywhere plastered on the car. I even do my motorbikes with the snow foam now as it can get into places my brushes can't and pulls the dirt out my bikes have never looked so clean.
5. i have white worm on Front and rear badges also on the wheel cap covers and the Steering wheel badge anybody had any luck getting any other of the badges changed under warranty.
6. What was your speed then to achieve these figures I can get 70 odd on the maxidot but that means driving at 40-50 mph
7. There are company's out there that can do reinstalls of odo readings. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=digital+odometer&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari#hl=en&gs_rn=14&gs_ri=tablet-gws-psy&tok=zlYmAZBuwKkuPe1Vi6o9vA&pq=digital%20odometer%20correction&cp=8&gs_id=57&xhr=t&q=digital+mileage+correction&es_nrs=true&pf=p&sclient=tablet-gws&client=safari&oq=digital+correction&gs_l=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.&bvm=bv.46751780,d.bGE&fp=d641762ef068b562&biw=1024&bih=644
8. They are set to the first use of the washer and then every fifth time during that journey once you turn off the ignition it will go back to the first activation on commencing a new journey and every fifth after that etc etc this is oem setting and is only on when lights are switched on.
9. If its fitted to the car as OEM spec you can order the part you just need to find a dealer or shop that has some sort of common sense when it comes to the problems with finding parts or part numbers. My dealer tried to tell me that you could not get a Columbus fascia surround as the columbus can not be fitted to a yeti even though they had a new yeti with a Columbus sat in the showroom. Find a VAG specialist service centre and ask them they should be able to sort it. Or maybe someone on here has ETKA as I guess it would be on there.
10. And before anyone says anything scotchblocks will void the warranty with my dealer as they deem this to be cutting the wiring As I asked when enquiring about my towbar fitting
11. There are some led kits you can buy but this involves putting in a ballast so the can-bus does not bring up a fault but unless you make your own wiring loom/attachment. it will involve cutting into your wiring loom which will void the warranty on the car as I asked skoda when I fitted my Bluetooth,MDI and satanav anything plug and play is ok but if you cut or modify the wiring loom in any way it voids your warranty. That's all on the pretence that your dealer knows that you have done it in the first place but this would involve taking out the led bulbs every time you visited the dealer for service etc etc http://bit.ly/11856yi
12. i like these 3d mock ups of the current yeti with more square features than the more podgy round features of the current yeti
13. That'll be another optional extra we don't get in the uk then typical.
14. What's the seat design you have there are they seat covers or some new kind oem seat
15. Just make sure they have the kit with the plug and play wiring as you have spent the money on the prep. And so they don't use scotch blocks. Personally I would buy a kit then fit it and code it in myself as its so easy to do and I'm sure there are some vcds owners near you otherwise I'm happy to code it in
16. Another forum has a deal going on the snow foam lances I just phoned the up and mentioned the deal I wanted in the link. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=183611
17. And then get it recalibrated every 12 months as my work torque wrenches go out of true ver quickly when we are working on engines alot.
18. Snowfoaming is the way ahead gets rid of the majority of crud off the car by just spraying on, leaving then spray off. You can then just leave it at that or go for a wash with a mitt to get the rest of the fine dusty dirt off.
19. Yep and would recommend them I bought my Bluetooth and MDI parts off of them and all arrived pretty quick and in good packaging in still sealed manufacturers packaging as well.
20. One of my old race bikes had 4 maps on he Cdi and the lowest setting 4 was great for fuel but crap power and used that in the rain or cold days until the tyres were hot enough but the top map 1 gave you power like a light switch but it also extremely bad for fuel I'd say about 65% worse on fuel and that trend was the same as you went up from 4-1
21. The most likely best thing to do is just get the greenline engine curve tuned to be a bit more efficient as I reckon skoda may have properly played around with it so they can get the low emissions cert. You will probably be able to get the power delivery a bit cleaner. But with being around people who tune cars and bikes all my life with my racing of two wheels they all say one thing if you want more power your going to burn more fuel. Maybe a couple of bhp is achievable without affecting the mpg but not much I would reckon. I drive my greenline like a granny to get over 50mpg but as soon as I put my foot down you can take 10mpg off straight away and it keeps dropping away like a stone in water
22. Looks like they may have done a crap job of draining it as the engine should be quite warm when oil dropped to maximise the most out but they may have done it on a stone cold engine where the oil would of been alot thicker so alot harder to get completely out. I had my diesel golf serviced before and checked the oil a week later and it was still quite golden (new oily colour) coloured. But that was from a decent vag specialist garage not a stealer.
