oh dear i recognise that car tho it used to run with tiny lights in big empty holes.

went to sainsburys shopping today and noticed that their super unleaded is only 2p a litre more than the normal stuff so i filled up with it. It definately makes a difference. I'm just taking it for granted that the car will suffer no ill effects running on higher octane than necisary but it would if it needed super and i filled it up with normal

I intend to but dont have anything suitable lying around i was going to mock up with the hoover tube but swmbo saw me and shouted at me. she knows me well enough to know i wasn't going to hoover:D -
I looked for one and there isnt one so i decided to make one the stock airbox/engine cover weighs alot and there are 12 screws to undo to get the filter out. So i've started making my own induction kit in the first pic the Pipercross cone filter is mounted directly onto the aluminium bend which is mounted to the throttle body. Its runs fine like this but i intend to mount the filer behind the battery with a cold air feed running to it. the second pic shows the pipercross filter on the end of the breather pipes. they are both polished alloy the white plastic is protective cover. So far this has cost

RallyRed replied to RallyRed's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
I already have the brakes on my Audi A4 so i'd only be paying for the VRS bits. I have a bearing thats just startng rumbling aswell so its an ideal opertunity. I priced black diamond dics and pads for the 1.4 fabia and nearly died 195 quid for discs and 50 quid for pads.. and what magic makes your 1.4 do 140? I eventually plan to put a different engine in mine and then itll do 140 and beyond -
but thatll be in the future after the Fabia.
