  1. uh huh, yeah... so, theres a difference between using a platform to talk **** about someone and using a platform to attempt to incite violence on your behalf or intimidate witnesses against you when you are the one facing charges. thats why Donny is gagged - witness / jury  tampering is a crime...

    anyway,

turns out the reimbursement cheques to Cohen were signed by Trump, in the Oval Office while president, despite his insistance that Cohen her off himself, out of the goodness of his heart, bless him, so this aint lookin good for him...

I still dont see him doing time in a cell for this trial though. it will make him a martyr for Christofascists.

what it does give us is a decent insight into how hes likely to behave when it comes to the other trials hes facing.

hasnt been much that ive seen recently about his bond company not being up to scrutiny for his appeal attempt either.

oddly i dont go out of my way to find the stuff either...

We're stopping in an Airbnb this weekend and the heating is via a nest thermostat that appears to be locked at 20 degrees meaning the heating isn't coming on in the lounge which is only about 18 degrees and a tad cool.

I've there done a temporary hack with an ice pack...

It was intended to be a humorous aside in relation to the counterpoint of your career development from mechanic to (as I understand it) telecomms engineer.  Obviously, it didn't work 😞

I saw what you did Mike 👍

  6. I was on a briefing day today, going through ALL of the safety and guidance docs our guys are meant to adhere to while on duty (inc corporate social media stuff) so we got our dinner there today, Great Southern Hotel in Killarney, Striploin, veg, mash and chips. striploin a lovely slightly under medium. no photos, wouldve been a bit weird with the lads, and may have constituted a technical breach of the SM Policy.. so could this post ;)

been circuit training tonight so ate all the left overs -

a roast lamb Ellas Kitchen baby dinner going out of date tomorrow, 2 slices of garlic bread, 2 pizza subs the lads did t eat and the home made hasselback baby potatoes i made yesterday. no pics as it looked awful 🤣

So it turns out that changing your usertag results in changing the usertag that someone else has blocked to whatever your new tag is!

well that makes sense doesnt it?

  9. that Allroad you saw being dropped into the grass isnt surprising,

old A4s and and passats dragging their sills around the road are common here too. i reckon the roaring exhaust noise is actually the car screaming from the pain of dragging their undertrays along the road, and the diesel soot is it metaphorically coughing up blood.

jettas are also common place, i saw one the other day dropped so low and wheels so big the owner had cut notches out of the wheel arches to stop the tyres rubbing...

i dont mind cars being modded, but christ do it tastefully and make it worthwhile. its almost a shame though that these cars are now within the budget of young lads with no taste and wanting to look cool with a filthy agri spec saloon...

Russia's much hyped Kinzhal hasn't really turnd out to be all that effective

thats because Russia lied about what it is - claiming hyper sonic cruise missile when its just ballistic thus easy to track and predict. like so much of Russias claims... SU57 is about  as stealthy as a C130 (exaggeration for effect) but they bill it as more capable than an F22. and they only have like 10 of them so thell never see an actual mission.

Lasers are have too many uncontrolable factors that reduce their effectiveness at the ranges air combat take place.

But I agree drones and the AI wingman drones being developed alongside the NGAD programme are going to be massive capability shifts.

What on earth's going on with the weather?  I've just buzzed up the shops and had to wear my cardy, and a coat.  Eight degrees and feels like five 🥶  This time last year it was in the low twenties

went up the woods this afternoon,

boys in jumpers, missus mac with her lagging jacket coat, me in a t shirt..

but yesterday felt like minus 5 but allegedly 12deg... got hail on monday and Wednesday!

I read today that the Cybertrucks are being recalled as there’s an issue with the accelerator pedal getting trapped by the interior trim increasing the possibility of crashes. Have to laugh, millions spent in coming up with this truck and the shag piles a bit too deep 😂

no, its the cover on the pdel can slide up and get stuck under the bottom of the footwell trim panel.

it also cant drive on sand or gravel, or any offroad stuff, the locking diffs menu says "coming soon with software update"  :D

someone else washed down theirs after exposing it to sand as required to stop the unlacquered steel rusting and their entire dash display stopped working.

the tail gate will happily cut your fingers off  if in the opening when closing as it has no obstruction sensor.

someone else's arrived with scratched body panels and with damage to the dash panel, so tesla took it in for a few days to replace it and fix the scratches. couldnt fix the scratches as the tesla equipment wasnt capable of sorting them out. the new dash is dented and rattles and theres new damage done to other parts from where they tried to replace said dash.

that yoke is actually worse than a Delorian :D

This just made me chuckle, they make adverts like this anymore.

apparently Leslie Nielson had almost no sense of humour, which was why he was able to stay so straight and serious filming all of those types of pun and satire based films. he just didnt get the humour, but that makes them so much better as it makes everything seem almost normal :D

i think this could do with a relocation to the Roadside hotel? feels like it would be better suited there.

    as to whats different?

okay... Ukraine has been invaded by a nuclear power with a do trine thats states they may use nuclear force if attacked on home soil by any nation, but in particular NATO. thus, a proxy war is a safer - who knows what Putin could do if he really did feel threatened- and cheaper option for "The West" to break the Russian military strength. thus the UK/US et al wont take any direct actions against Russia.

The UK/US effectively created the state of Israel and keep the region on a knife edge of instability because its good for business. therefore they will defend Israel to the end. especially against Iran because of the revolution there back in the 70s that kicked them out and removed the US influence on their policies. so, as a result strikes on Iranian targets are fine, because its only iran - nuclear ambitions but guaranteed the US/UK know exactly what they have and what they can do, so the risk is much lower. and when its in defence of Israel, of course they will take whatever action they need to in order to protect their special little project..
