EV real world range and cost to charge
Looking forward to seeing and getting to drive the £20,000 or £25,000 VW Group EV's.

7 speed DSG clutch...cost?
They are clutch packs and you need the gear and more than ideas to change them. The other thread is in the right section and maybe a mod will remove this one. Maybe @baguaboycan tell more on who did the diagnosis and what they quoted the price would be, and how many miles the car has done with the DQ200 DSG. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/512342-7-speed-dsg-clutchcost

EV real world range and cost to charge
My phone pinged and it was an Autocar update. Maybe just what i next year from Ford. Puma EV with 136ps, FWD and a 55 kW battery. The Pump is comfy for me. Seems to be mentioned as a Peugeot e-2008 rival. Now there is an issue, as their range is fiction unless driving to a WLTP regime so not Real World. http://autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/2024-electric-ford-puma-bring-134bhp-and-100kw-charging

7 speed DSG clutch...cost?
@baguaboy Sorry no idea, but can i ask why you need clutches and flywheel? Who diagnosed this and how many miles has the car done? Use a Automatic Gearbox Specialist. Where are you in the UK if you are in the UK? @ApertureSmight be able to give an idea of the expected cost.

They might well be revised versions. That has them being DQ400-e in a PHEV. Only Electric Vehicle Qualified Technicians should work on the cars with them if it is in the engine compartment and servicing the DSG.

EV real world range and cost to charge
I know someone with one in South Ayrshire. They had a 28 kW, swapped for a BMW i3 and were disappointed and went to a Ioniq 38 kW. They are not impressed and that is on ECO tyres and driving solo. Their 28 kW was more efficient. No way will they do 180 miles on winter or all weather tyres with people in the car and comfortable even if you stay at speeds less than others are doing around you. Good local runabouts though. Crap rear visibility with those that can not wait to be getting passed you and maybe not go any quicker, and that is often EV drivers.

Skoda do not have newer DSG's than the DQ381. There is that or the DQ500, or there are DQ200's (DQ200-e) Then with PHEV's DQ400's

Karoq cam belt change - start saving now !
They seem to be showing prices as they were before they have increased at other Main Dealerships / Dealership Groups / Authorised repairers. Simple enough to check with them the cost of a 1.5TSI ACT cam belt replacement just as a customer that bought a car which had not been serviced to the manufacturers guidelines, recommendations or schedule yet and you want it done. So just the price that anyone coming in from anyplace now that the Service Staff might be aware of the labour involved. If they are doing it for £599 they might be busy, as will any others doing it at that price. Cheap enough if your local dealer is a few hundred quid more to have an away day or 2, book accommodation and still spend less. http://barlowmotors.co.uk/skoda/servicing

EV real world range and cost to charge
@lol-lolI have been looking at, sitting in and having a wee drive in a few cars to see what suits me. Took the e-Megane out and got 3.5 miles per kW, same as I did in a Cupra Born when I drove one. 4 x 60 kWh being 240 miles is OK but 3.5 miles per kWh is really not great. On way home from having had the test drive I got 3.7 miles a kWh in the Corsa. If it had 55 kWh usable battery it would make all the difference for me. Before I went to Perth and back my car was on 50500 miles and adding up all I have paid at chargers with CPS or by card it is under £500. That is pretty much the end of running for nearly free sadly. This weekend I have grandchildren and dog and stuff to care for so taking my son's BMW 520 diesel estate because of the big dog but even if it was just the kids I would not be taking the Corsa when it would need at least 4 charges for me over the weekend. An Easter weekend might just be as bad as it could be if there is charger magedon. Now 10*oC and if i was to head off to Edinburgh now i might actually be OK for 150 miles. Tomorrow if early and cooler maybe the same as traffic will slow things, but you need to be ready to divert if there are accidents. So i need to get charged before getting kids and dog and car, and then leave it parked so 30 mins charging maybe. Then before coming home again another maybe 20-30 mins will do it. If i could get 180 miles it would be simple but first i need to find a comfy car. Front wheel drive and doing good economy on All Weather tyres. Heated seat and steering wheel. No shiny plastic. So not a Cupra Born & not a e-Megane. And available from Motability for not loads of Advance Payment. So maybe 2024 there will be something. FWD with 60 kWh usable battery and 4 miles to the kWh in cold weather on the motorway would be lovely,

You have 'Autohold' if left enabled. you come to a stop and push the brake pedal, the actuators have the brakes applied, front and rear and if the cars moves a bit the brakes are applied a bit more. Not like the parking brake just the rear brakes. No foot on brake, you can have stop start off if you want and it sits there until to move off, press the accelerator. '

HELP !, WTF is a 'Solo charge', is that Nissan sales person speak for a 100% charged battery? & then the miles from a SOLO Charge in the best possible conditions?- Epc light on and limb mode
Welcome. I will let a mod know the post is here so it can go to the Mk2 Fabia section. What engine has your car?- Fitting Mercedes alloys to Skoda Yeri
@MoorendWelcome to the forum. ? Are these wheels on your Yeti ones that a previous owner had fitted and left on before you bought it? Guessing they are not the wheels it came with from the factory. ? What actual size are the tyres fitted to them? You might find wheels to suit your Yeti with tyres in the For Sale Section on the forum. Your Steel wheels might well sell on here to someone wanting winter wheels. PS. I take it that your Yeti is not a 2019 model, is that a typo?- What's seeing off all the Fabias?

Oil and inspection service is a crazy price as you show. If you are looking at a main dealer and Extended scope better get a independent VW group specialist IMO. Haldex service needs done properly. What are they doing to front diff? Are you wanting a Rear diff oil change? That is not the Haldex. 2:different things. Cam belt and water pump. Brake fluid. Pollen filter, air filter, fuel filter. All down to what needs changed. Look at the air filter. Change the pollen filter, clean the area. Know stuff is done and not at rip off prices.- 2014 Scout DSG - 100k mile service
Sorry double post, broken reception.- Paging ... paging .... Milan, top Favorit restorer.
Saab and Volvo can rust just as badly. Skoda have still not figured fuel filler flaps that do not freeze shut. Or stopped water getting trapped in doors / seals. Or sun roofs drains not blocking or sunroofs leaking. Leaks corroding wiring in pretty new models. Vorsprung Durch Technic seems to pass Skoda by just as it does with VW.- Dsg box
The term hand brake is kind of misleading when there are finger brakes / e- brakes as the Parking brakes and they do not even require releasing as that can happen by just pressing the accelerator if a gear is selected and the engine running. As to the DSG,s being good enough for cheap cars. Skoda are not known for cheap cars anymore. Ps North America, Australia and other non EU world regions can get the same models with 1.4tsi,s and 8 speed autos, but then they are showing genuine emissions and not WLTP kidology and engine management to suit testing rather than real world on roads.- The next generation MINI Cooper Electric 2024 & MINI Aceman 2024/25 pics & Videos.
Any of the EV's just need as much grill / mouth as is required for the air getting in. Wrap the front registration plate area panel in satin back maybe for that Big Mouth Audi stylee. There are no low down fog lights on that car. A tiny rear wiper blade. Not loads of shiny black plastic trim to scratch on that example with the matt finish, just that rear band. These big expanses of body panels look like a horror show for showing dents and dings. Solid colours, red or white maybe best for body repairs. It is a pity small mad / gravel guards are not moulded in to the rear of wheel arches, just small amounts of protection to save having to fit anything aftermarket. Back end looks a bit like a dog with worms dragging its arse. Video from 1 year ago.- Diesel or Petrol
A consideration if buying new or used is how long you intend keeping the petrol or diesel vehicle, so is it for a few years or is it to be a keeper. How does the fuel consumption and servicing costs add up with your annual mileages and potential expenses. If leasing and the car goes back in a few years then fuel costs might be the greater importance if you are just doing a few years of servicing. Only Oil & Inspection services and maybe 1 pollen filter and no haldex, DSG, Cambelt / water pump or other stuff. - EV real world range and cost to charge
