Kodiaq MY23 changes
Skoda do build and sell lots less cars than VW. They sell lots that are favoured in particular markets though because they are designed and priced to suit. They manufacture lots of the parts for other VW Brands including gearboxes. 1991 VW acquired 31 % of shares in Skoda and 25 years now plus of a partnership.

Kodiaq MY23 changes
http://whocanfixmycar.com/advice/skoda-vs-volkswagen-which-is-best Globally the Kodiaq is Skoda's 5th best seller or car delivered and is very popular among those that own them according to reviews and surveys so that is good enough even if there is no way of knowing who does respond to the surveys and are the owners. Skoda models regularly get higher scores or places on a list compared to other VW & VW Group models so there must be something in it even though they sell much less equivalent models that might be more expensive. Maybe the Skoda's are that much better or the VW owners are just fussier.

Kodiaq MY23 changes
Not trying to invalidate anything. Just trying to get the just on owners and drivers responding. Lots of sales people are sitting twirling pencil with time on their hands. What car / Autocar can make a Skoda car of the year before any have arrived in the UK and when they have only driven left hand drive ones. Actually they can ignore the software issues with mk4 Octavia. The results are good. So were MG for a few years with very few even on the roads. Same with Dacia. The Kodiaq is marvelous. Nobody is saying otherwise.

Stamped Engine Code - Fabia MK 3
Stupid that the seller is not taking the car back, or putting a new system on the car. Did they know it was bypassed. Was it actually just stripped out? Was it detected at a MOT carried out before or after they got the car in. Many DPF deletes are not detected at MOT's. RAC Legal Services. A success story. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/452890-yet-18tsi-brand-new-engine-a-success-story

Stamped Engine Code - Fabia MK 3
Do you mean the Recall Action does not show because it might already have been done? Was it not one that required the coolant changed? http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions Are you trying to get a case against who sold it to you? Do you think they knew the car was modified, or that a previous owner had it modified? You want a Report by an Independent Expert for an court case. They are not that expensive and there are plenty Independent Experts around the country. Then if you are a RAC Member there can be help there with Legal Claims.

Stamped Engine Code - Fabia MK 3
@mrspatch Could you explain please. I thought you were comparing with the log book from your OP. So it was the engine number on the engine you required. What are the cars problems and why do you thing the engine has been replaced or tampered with? The engine might well have needed replacement parts. There should be a Service, Warranty & Recall action history on the Skoda System if done in the Manufacturers Warranty period or in the dealer network. ? Have you checked with Skoda UK Customer Services or a Dealership? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/426322-recall-on-diesel-cooling-issue/page/5

Skoda Laura
I would think you need to go see an Automatic Gearbox Specialist unless someone here knows what the issue is going to be having had the same in the past, but that does not get your car fixed.

Emergency Assist
I know. Someone that knows might well answer. Without being rude the link i posted was saying what Emergency Assist does. There was no mention of how long it is with no steering movement and it thinks the driver is incapacitated. Lets hope it is damn quick so that the driver can react if they are capable of doing so. DSG's only. karoq.pdf

Kamiq front tyre wear
There are various websites that show for the various tyre sizes of tyres. Front and rear 30 PSI & Front loaded 35 & Rear Loaded 38 PSI.

Skoda Laura
@Nashyboy Welcome. Is it a Tiptronic gearbox? If so has it ever had a Transmission Fluid change over the last 11 years even if Skoda showed that as not required?

@kodiaqsportline Love how you constantly say i do not own a Skoda. #You know me so well. I do own a Skoda but it is an old one and that means i am not worthy as you are. BRISKODA is one of the Skoda Forums with the biggest membership that owns Skodas and that covers various models and not just a forum for individual models like some other forums. There are many Survey results published but there never seems to be Briskoda members / Skoda owners that say they took part in the surveys. Now could you just carry on as you were happy in the knowledge that as a non Skoda or VW Group car Owner according to you & i should just bog off. Did you take part in the Survey mentioned @kodiaqsportlineto share your experience of your current Skoda's or past models?

Emergency Assist
Welcome. It does not need to be involved in an accident does it? Is that a SOS system you mean? Hopefully someone has read the Owners Manual on what is what and how long etc. https://www.skoda-auto.com/world/safety-assistance-system-emergency

Stamped Engine Code - Fabia MK 3
@nta16 Where is the engine number stamped on a Mk3 Fabia 1.4 TDI engine. Is it at the back of the engine?

Deteriorating front tyres
@J.R. It is actually 'Driving Miss Daisy' as in the movie. It somehow has become a term for someone driving gently with care..... This is 'Miss Daisy'.

Stamped Engine Code - Fabia MK 3
@mrspatch I have a friend who's relative had a Mk3 Fabia 1.4 TDI / DSG with an engine that was ruined from the overheating issue / water pump and a faulty DSG and that car was got rid of. EDIT. It was a 2016 car. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/467825-part-number-help-required (Coincidentally he had a Fabia vRS and it needed a replacement engine under warranty and a DSG that was rebuilt at total cost of £3,400 not covered by warranty..) ?? Does your car have a DSG? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/504863-ecu-communication-problems

Stamped Engine Code - Fabia MK 3
I can not help you with a mk3 Fabia but a Master Tech at a dealership should. With Mk2 Fabia 1.4 TSI Twinchargers Skoda were very lax and in some cases lying to owners. Engines were replaced, like for like, owners were told no need to inform the DVLA, some were told the engines had been stamped, some it was just the barcode. It was a farce and still is as some replacement engines have been replaced and some cars might now have engines robbed from other cars. Not fun if the Police or the DVSA are ever checking engine numbers. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/324108-replacement-engines-engine-numbers-v5-dvla-skoda-uk-what-happened http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/264592-new-14-tsi-engine-fittedbut http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/271147-have-i-been-fooled

Kamiq front tyre wear
What tyres? You do not mention how many miles driven. Move the wheels / tyres front to rear and get some more use out of them. Maybe it will become quite common on Kamiq's. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/504773-tyre-wear-karoq-sportline-15-tsi-2020

VRS Weird Aftermarket Springs
Not better grip in the wet IME. Somebody will advise on springs and dampers. As replacements for broken springs i used OEM ones that were take offs from the PDI. I did not want lowering and like pretty crap handling cars. As long as they go and stop and get around corners...
-
VRS Weird Aftermarket Springs
Why not? Some tyres needed to go on at each end. I would put the good in the rain ones on the front, the rear can be controlled if you have steering and braking and traction / grip / drive. Many Tyre fitters tell the customers that they must have new on the rear or they will not fit them. A punch in the face can offend. ? Is this a Code in the Build Code, or and entry at the PDI? The Dealer Fit option when new and fitted at the PDI in the UK was Eibach's.
-
VRS Weird Aftermarket Springs
Can you put up a picture of the springs and dampers? What tyres are on it now as in Make? Are they still 205/40 R 17's? Maybe go to 16" tyres if needs must after you change the suspension. Maybe is was prepped for going to Sudan. Or that was the owners name. @Damian@DPMcan maybe suggest springs and dampers to suit.

@Rob74 How many miles have they been on for? Maybe a better All Season tyre for that type of use then if you are not going to see much wintry weather.

EA888 Gen3B - Tuning options for the 2.0 190PS TSI
It is amazing how many do not have a car serviced and running as well as they can before a remap. Amazing how many do a remap and do not look at the plugs or air filter but then they might not be a mechanic or even a fitter. Even worse is those that know the car is not running right and take it to get a remap.
