  1. @cheezemonkhai DC Rapid chargers have sometimes a 22 / 43 kW AC on the side. There are plenty BEV's that get parked on them for hours and hours even ones that can only get a 7 or 11 kW charge on the AC so can go on the 'Fast Chargers' provided for 'Park and Ride' or park and bog off not caring about anyone else.. What is needed is a clear guide inside EV's like the Warning Stickers you get in 4X4' / SUV's from the far East or USA that explain how things like difflocks and Hi / Low work. Too many BEV drivers have not a clue, as with PHEV drivers. Drivers come back and you point out the car has stopped charging a long time ago and they were only charging at 7 kW and hogging a bay and they say that the charger was available. Ignoring all the ones they could have been on. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/502359-what-kwh-does-an-enyaq-charging-on-ac-43-kw-chargers-get-why-use-one-when-there-are-plenty-22-kw-chargers-available
  2. If you want to possibly speak to someone that gives a damn try a call to Skoda Specialist Cars Dundee part of the same John Clark Group as the hopeless lot at Perth & Aberdeen. (edit) the best of the bunch IMO. For proper knowledge and Service you need to go to Victoria Garage Maud where they have all the gear and more than ideas.
  3. Ionity has been 69 pence kWh for a long time now. BMW Managed to drop thousands off BMW i3's over night as did other manufacturers at the last EV Grant change in the UK before this last one scrapping the grant. Every EV that arrives in the UK will be road registered at some point soon even if there was no buyer waiting as they are to get the Average C02 down in the UK. Same with Mild or PHEV's. Manipulate the figures. VW are a bit stuffed as Partners like MG Motors have now suspended EV orders on the current cars and are waiting on the new models and there is the battery shortage. *VW wish that Chinese EV's could flood the EU or UK as they are counting on them assisting their low emissions, they are stuffed though because the supply issue is hitting them all'.* They will need to concentrate on more Smaller Battery EV's being first registered. 3 Small battery cars rather than 1 or 2 SUV sized cars. There is a kidology on the Emissions across manufacturers and they will be asking the EU Governments & the UK Governments to treat them to a relaxing of the penalties for not meeting the required average emissions.
  4. The thing is that the Service desk & Parts Desk Staff and their Service Manager even Workshop Manager might be clueless and employed because they know nothing about cars, even ones they get from the dealership to drive. The Salespeople are the same. (Any ability, keen to learn and they are off working someplace else, maybe the AUDI dealership but then that means not much for those Audi customers that expect better.) The real FAIL is the Dealer Principal, the Dealership Owners & Directors that allow this nonsense but mostly VW Group / Skoda UK that have these Franchised / Approved Dealerships and repairers.
  5. I do my Free RAPID charging 20 miles away in Perthshire on a reliable 50 kW charger as i arrive towards home, i stop for 30-40 minutes or so and top up to 90% & not in Angus where it costs money to Rapid charge. (If the Rapid is occupied i might give it a miss or go on the 7kW waiting to get on it.) Then i do my free 7kW charging to be topped up and daily at Tesco until i am away again leaving nearly full and charging 70 miles later at reliable chargers for free. So filled up now and off later and will be free charging on Rapids all weekend as on the West not East of Scotland. £13.38 is all i have spent in the last 6,000 miles or so as there are a few chargers i use that should cost to use with CPS but work without registering they were used or adding to my account.
  6. How many Taxi / Private hire drivers are actually using a VW Group Plug in Hybrid as their work vehicle? Do those that maybe do a short school run type contract where they are out for a few miles a few time a day and charging between times bother with them?
  7. Is that a Cat N write off? ?? Who fitted a new exhaust and back discs? Who has given the Warranty, is it a Skoda Approved Used Car Warranty or something else from someone else? The car needs inspected and the issue diagnosed. ? What are the terms of the Warranty on claims? ? How long have you had the car?
  8. Fire off an Email to Skoda UK Customer Services and see if they can come up with a correct figure for a 80X. 1,200 kg seems to be the answer. (2020, 21, 22, 80 RWD 1,000 kg One that they can be held to and quoted on. http://towingcapacity.co.uk/car-make-model/skoda/skoda-enyaq http://electrictowcars.co.uk/skoda-enyaq-iv From somewhere SKODA come up with 'up to 1,400 kg' for this storyboard website.
  9. You could look at the information the car gives you and see what is shows as an average mph. Ps edit time is limited unless a freedom member.
  10. In the UK the government knew many PHEV,s were not being charged because the media told them but business users were being given nice tax payer funded breaks. Hence the change that was introduced. The BIK nonsense has to stop. The EV grants had to as well.
  11. Jo Bamford £1bn hydrogen investment fund is what you need to look at. jRM, IDS and others know what side to butter their toast. And Boris has his bread and hand patted butter delivered by Mrs Banfords delivery service. For someone investing in EV Car subscriptions try Lord David Brownlow. Havisham Group. (ELMO) Just coincidence but Bamford and Brownlow will also come up if looking at who lent money to decorate a flat in Downing St. Or were asked to.
  12. Hopefully the OP is coming back. Maybe with a fuel can with 5 litre from the filling station. Best keep one in the boot with fuel in it.
  13. The government or the prime minister have a strategy. It revolves around JCB and the son of JCB,s owner who has the hydrogen thing sawn up. Then there is Rolls Royce and small nuclear that Tory Seniors and Peers have financial interests in. The Green is coming, or with Hydrogen in England Blue. That is Blue Hydrogen . As with renewables which is DRAX burning wood pellets imported from the USA on ships running on Marine Diesel.
  14. Less than 1 week on my Corsa-e before Cross Climates were fitted. When I had driven a media car they had Pilot Sport on to be sure that they never experienced the terrible traction that there is with Primacy 4. Not that they bother that much when you see motoring journalist accept cars with over inflated tyres and then comment on handling or ride yet not adjust the pressures or even check them.
  15. The 1.4 TSI is a great engine which is why available in other world regions mated to a 8 speed autobox. Where the WLTP figures do not matter just genuine emission figures so no need for the hybrid kidology.
  16. 'this country' is England where the government are not doing much on green hydrogen other than talking. There is a different thing going on in Scotland where there is so much renewables generation of electric going to waste so hydrogen is part of the solution for lowering emissions with Aberdeen leading the way on roads and at the harbour. Same on the Northern Isles where producing electricity is easy.
  17. I am sitting on a 7kW for 40 minutes topping up as is my habit. Not seen the couple of EV6,s here for a while now. The last one I did see on a 50kW charger had been on it for many hours and was still on it hours after fully charged.
  18. Walk barefoot or cycle on a balance bike made of wood from a sustainable source of maybe sail or paddle where ever you want to go. He walked and sailed obviously to do that recording.
  19. @NiamhDo they cause an issue with the Libere-t- tag being read through the glass? EDIT. I have my answer. I did think there must be many that do have the screens like supercars...
  20. ^^^ Primacy 4 are spawn of the devil and all about getting range / mpg / so ECO that are OEM on EV's and other vehicles through lack of grip / friction so traction. Ditch Finders from Michelin.
  21. He did well with a 1.4 TSI. His usual is saying 0-62 then 0-60 when showing 62. As long as the timing to 62 mph is accurate.
  22. @anewman Has it got new tyres on it now or are these still fitted?
  23. @anewman You will have to find out how they are going to resolve their misleading advert to your satisfaction. On this one they say Stratos. But then a Stratos does not look like that in adverts for Stratos Alloys.
  24. @Frames Was your Haldex serviced @ 30,000 miles and did that place do it? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/505226-haldex-filter-and-oil-change
  25. Welcome. A iV driver will be along. ? Is your battery at 100% after having charged it when it was showing 4.1 miles per kWh?
