  1. @Croat Thanks. Your typo. 'No' Scout on the UK market.
  2. Amazing where my bike took me.
  3. I know that often when i see them on a charger they have tripped a 50 kW one, also this happens with Taycan's. I would expect the sooper dooper higher power liquid cooled chargers to be up to the job, but if not then that will be no different from slow, fast and quick chargers that can be hopeless.
  4. Before the worldwide web we had to use an encyclopaedia. No idea if they were accurate.
  5. The Oil and Filter needs changing, but for now the reason an Engine / Exhaust emissions light is on needs diagnosing. ? Is it as simple as Spark Plugs or Coil? Is it a lambda sensor? What is the issue?
  6. So there are no RWD MINI Electrics. that will be the BMW i3 with the same motor / batteries. The lowest spec e-208 had the narrower 16" tyres and does a bit better efficiency and feels less crashy.
  7. @Lady Elanore Is this about DC Charging, CCS or CHAdeMo. I have been on 50 kW chargers trying to use AC and could not get it working and what the car on the DC comes off the AC works. But then i go onto the DC / CCS. Or is this maybe this girl driving the Corsa-e and using a 22 kW AC charger and with a car with a 11kW onboard charger. Doh, so car with 11kW AC onboard charger can only charge AC at 11 kW. (Plug in the Zoe that can charge 22 or 45 KW then that is a different thing.)
  8. ^^^ Not as confused as they are.
  9. The usual on a rattle is that someone at a dealership points out the 6 month / 6,500 mile bit in the Warranty T&C's and fair enough if a rattle or fitment issue is apparent in that time, report it, ASAP, never put off raising the issue. have it recorded. have them start a 'Claim' and as an Approved Repairer do their worst. If it happens after 6 months then that does not mean it can just be passed off as tough luck. As to the seat & the handle. Does it get used? If Skoda CZ are crap tell the world. Or sometimes crap. THEY MIGHT EVENTUALLY SORT OUT QC AT THE FACTORY. If they are doing well or a Dealership is then also tell all that you can. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/423107-who-or-what-is-the-biggest-threat-to-skoda/page/15
  10. At a guess it was because the actual engine was not fired up much because you were using electric drive. ? How many kWh of electric was required over that 1,643 miles?
  11. I have camped under shelter stones and in sheds and all sorts and in camper vans / cars, i set up camp without having a tent. Maybe i bivvy in a bivvy. So as for google then on you go, but people camped long before the internet, maybe in yurts, wigwams maybe in benders, but some see those as tents and not shelters. You get wooden wigwams.
  12. It will be a camp site even if it is Pods or maybe a Pod site. There are Camping in cars with no tents, and dogging without a dog. There are not enough 'Best EV's for dogging' videos. This looks perfect.
  13. Ps. Looked at you pdf. On phone so will look closer later. So it shows the VAQ oil changed. It is a 3 year / 30,000 mile requirement and costs £100 plus. If they show done it better have been done. They are inspection brake fluid level, not testing for H2O or changing yet that is a @ 3 year manufacturer recommendation replacement then each 2 years. ? So the big question for the dealership, master tech, dealer principal. Is the VAQ diff serviced at that service? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/494489-front-differential-service-vrs-245 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/501456-front-differential-to-gearbox-leak Threads starting from 2019. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/468889-vaq-diff-service http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/482132-vrs-245-vaq-diff-servicing http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/471790-vaq-haldex-2016-pfi-230-vrs-does-it-have-one-and-service-intervals
  14. @Octaviarse Was this a Service Plan covering the Service, or did you pay for a Oil & Inspection Service, the Extended Scope. a Pollen Filter and a VAQ Oil change service? How much? The Extended Scope is so little more done in actual fact and even on the Skoda Maintenance and Servicing fixed price just duplicates things that are done as part of the Oil and inspection service. If you do have a rear diff then the chance of the oil being topped up is near zero. As is removing wheels for a brake inspection. The Haldex is not the rear diff and not part of the services as the DSG is not or a *VAQ Oil Change / Service.*. Lots of the tick box servicing is money for old rope. Specify what you want doing. Take a service history with. Pinch of salt. If you want a FMDSH you want a history of services to the manufacturer's recommendations or schedule. So brake fluid changes, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filters, pollen filters etc. Inspection service and extended Scope tells nothing, as minor / interim and major served did not. Or VHC - vehicles health check. Pre sales.
  15. A mod can move your thread to the Octavia section. I do not have an Octavia. Reliability of the vRS petrol of the age you are looking at is good.
  16. If it is a diesel then yes it has a DPF . Are there cars with not self Regenerating DPF,s?
  17. @Lady Elanore Do you mean a home 7 kW charger? Public chargers do not have this issue. We both get 7 kW or in my case 6.6 kWh or about 1.1 kWh each 10 minutes. A Golf GTE will just be charging at 3.6 kWh though as that is their max charge speed. (If the white Corsa charges it has no affect on my charging speed, and if it has 11 kW onboard charging it still just gets the same charge speed as my with a 7 kW on board charger. If we go on a 22 kW charger though it will be getting 11 kWh and me 7 kW / 6.6 actually)
  18. Forget the Oil & Coolant for now if there is enough in. You do need the Exhaust Emissions / Engine light issue sorted out. ? What Servicing was done? ??? How much were you charged for a diagnosis and a sensor replaced?
  19. When was the Oil & filter last changed? Have you tested the coolant to see what the strength is? The fault you have is not that common, hopefully someone can help you so that you are not ripped off by someone not resolving the issue. ? Is your car a 1.2 TSI? How many miles has it done? ? When were the spark plugs changed last?
  20. The presenters seemed to think that Jenson Button's Rally-X car was not suited to getting up the hill quick, it certainly was.
  21. @Mark2LTDIHow much are they going to be charging for this? It did not require a DSG OIl Change at 40,000 miles. People do have Oil changes. usually because someone says they need them, even though they do not. *THAT IS A RIP OFF* There is no service recommendations or schedule for a DQ200 DSG and never has been. (the 2012 world wide RECALL which excluded Europe did have the Synthetic oil changed to mineral and a software update. That was Service Campaign 34F7 done on DQ200's 2009-2012.) Was '34F7' done on your wife's car sometime after 2014. Is there a sticker in the Spare tyre well.?
  22. Does it make a difference, more will be spent on infrastructure where you live and maybe even drive. As you make the point with how little using the tube would cost you.
  23. Glad you have worked out what works for you. Time is money to you. You obviously are not a business user then that could be saving big style on your tax & running costs / fuel. You do not need a £50,000 EV to be able to do 340 miles and maybe charge once on the journey to complete it. You have a damn slow average speed. 8.55 hours. I do 450 miles in 12 hours sometimes for £0.00 to charge. That is less than 9 hours driving the car is charged for the first 140-150 miles worth, then another couple of charges & £80 or so not spent. If i paid 50 pence a kWh to have to charge for 450 miles that would be £75 and i would not be using an EV either. Luckily i can charge in areas of Scotland where there are free charging and then put some electric in at supermarkets when not going anyplace.
