  1. @Joss1733 Indeed the Christmas shut down is not strange. It is just that it is an extended one and it is Unions that tell the press not the Employer. But then Skoda / VW Group have communications issues. Not that good at them. They only like positive press releases like how well they are selling cars. Maybe the new CEO in 2022 will improve things. https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/vws-skoda-extend-holiday-break-until-jan-10-unions-say-2021-12-16/ Skoda CZ telling Skoda UK or Skoda in any country and them sending out 'News Bulletins' to Dealer Principals who tell their Sales Executives is just 'Simply Clever', but apparently beyond them in this 'Digital Age'.
  2. Where does 2.5 kWh escape to overnight or is there battery protection going on ? I have never had the 50 kW battery empty but i have been down to showing 9 miles range which might be 3 kWh left and it would not take in 47 kWh. 45kWh usable only. Just takes in 45 KWh. .............................. I see that i have not taken more than 35 kWh on CPS chargers in the past while, but some sessions have not registered or i was maybe on someone elses account. Free is still my favourite cost to charge.
  3. A member posted this in one of the many Delivery threads in different sections. Extended shutdown over Christmas holiday. Dec 23 to Jan 10. https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/vws-skoda-extend-holiday-break-until-jan-10-unions-say-2021-12-16/
  4. Are VW really putting the ID.5 Coupe which is exactly in the same class out with worse figures than the Enyaq Coupe?
  5. They come from the Skoda production line with wiring / cables / looms that cost much less than that which VW source world wide. The part linked might well be of a superior quality to anything from VW Group. It does invalidate the warranty on some of the vehicle.
  6. The Dacia Duster did not need ones as Dacia / Renault managed to get the emission figures at the time by other means to save being fined. If i Turbo one now i think it will have. I do not know though. VW 1.0MPI's do not have them
  7. GPF's Regen (clean out) differently from DPFs. They were introduced to the Mk3 Fabia September 2018, so there were ones pre GPF I have not seen a TSI with a light on yet for the GPF, but plenty have been aware of them doing regens or misbehaving while doing them or maybe failing to.
  8. Exactly 1 hours plugged into the 7kW Podpoint at 10*oC ambient and 6.5 kWh taken in.
  9. The 1.4TDI production stopped June 2017 as did the 1.2 TSI's. Not sure if the OP's 1.0TSI has a GPF or not but it probably has.
  10. Guest_ replied to tonypr's topic in Skoda Enyaq
Remember setting the tyre pressures and resetting the TPMS.
  11. Awesome. Surely in one of these in the future.
  12. I Thought you were a Fuel Snob that was making up your mix. So Premium Diesels, Shell, V-Power, BP Ultimate, ESSO Synergy Supreme +.
  13. 3 year old tyres with only 1,000 miles on them certainly deserve a good thorough inspection. Actually all cars need them. Maybe people do not have cars serviced or maintained by them or anyone else from one MOT inspection to the next. Actually many have no servicing, maintenance or an inspection in the UK from the car leaving the factory / PDI if they are even checked properly at a PDI. Too many cars are on the road for 3 years until the first MOT with wonky headlights, or go about with bad / damaged tyres.
  14. @DManPooleHas the Invoice / Price you have paid actually include £560 for the Blind Spot Detection that you have not got so that you are due that as a refund?
  15. @Waulkmillfh Where are you near in the wilds of Aberdeenshire and since you got the car have you filled up with petrol from someplace? Where was that, filling station and what petrol. Is it E10 in now. & how long had the car sat before you got it, as in had it old petrol in it? What about servicing, when was it serviced last. Have you had a look to see what the air filter looks like as is it clean.
  16. @Esseesse200 Which filling stations sell Optimax Diesel?
  17. Maybe post again in 3 or 4 years having seen how cars from 2019/2020 are getting on.
  18. You do not get 75 mpg though from a 1.4 TSI without a battery being charged before doing the 75 miles. So no matter if the 75 miles gets you from the coast to the highest road summit in Scotland on a fine sunny warm day you are not getting more than 55 MPG doing lots of coasting as you head home to the coast. I could get 70 mpg in a TDI SCR DSG from the mountains to the sea. Even 55 mpg in a MK 2 Fabia vRS without coasting function.
  19. VW Group has a new CEO from the new year as the Skoda CEO takes over. The departing CEO can maybe get a grip of VW,s Software Development when he takes charge of that. Or maybe not seeing as he he as not got a grip while in overall charge now.
  20. https://www.londonnewstime.com/skoda-boss-thomas-schafer-becomes-ceo-of-volkswagen/594116 https://www.autocarpro.in/news/international/skoda-ceo-thomas-schafer-to-become-volkswagen-boss-80656 Current VW Group Chairman Herbert Diess might be able to get a grip of the terrible job VW are doing with software used in the group models.
  21. @Esseesse200, Recoverable? Do you mean if a car is ran on regular 95 ron than some damage might of occurred which will miraculously rectify if a higher octane fuel with a different additive package is used? All the difference is that you might get a bit more performance than the previous drivers did if they used 95 ron. I doubt the engine is coked up.
  22. Is it not there because of the Chip Shortage so deleted from the build so that the build could be completed? Is it that important to you? I would take the money and consider myself lucky to have got a factory build order in 4 months. ? What is the chance of a new order this week actually being delivered before May?
  23. 75 mpg for the first 75 miles using 4.546 litres of petrol and the electric in a full battery, the next 75 miles is more like 7 litres of petrol as is very 75 miles until the car is plugged in again. Nobody is doing 450 miles of a trip from home to someplace and back using only 6 gallons.
  24. @Esseesse200 If wanting to map one then i would expect that un-mapped you will still want to run it on 97 or 99 ron E5 Super Unleaded rather than 95 ron E10 Unleaded. Best price the running cost using the more expensive fuel, maybe the only slightly more expensive Tesco or Sainsburry super unleaded or more again Shell, BP, Texaco etc.
  25. 14*oC today & getting warmer. What a change in weather. I find that the mid teens ambient is wonderful for miles / kWh. I ended up chatting and the car was on the charger longer than i intended. Later i will see how little energy is used today. @lol-lolI was chatting with a MG Hybrid owner that had actually sent messages to Rory about the item with him comparing running costs of a Corsa & a Corsa-e. He has driven them and others and knows how ridiculous the figures given were.
