Heavy condensation on inside of windows
@Rockinghorse The problem is that the similar problem of steaming up an condensation has been one that Skoda has had for decades, even when no seal faults, or pan roof drains etc. So owners might fight it for years and never resolve it. It is something Skoda got from VW. Since VW went from Air Cooled engines and open top cars they struggle to keep liquids in the engines and liquids out of the interior. Just to keep the Heritage going. Vorsprung Durch Technik. Some will have short memories or just keep knocking their head against a wall to relieve the pain.

Never forget that we are all in this together and the Tory's are all in it for them and theirs. http://infosys.com/about.html

£1.50 per mile??!!
It is the 'dark forces' start of their campaign against the Chancellor because they are scared he will become the Tory Leader and Prime Minister. His In-laws are likely to be the ones that will own the satellites.

Very loud bang inside the cabin
@CajoLajo Have you looked in the boot at the spare tyre / wheel if you have one, or at the repair kit if you have one?

£1.50 per mile??!!
Boris and pals will have big investments in satellites & the launch sites for rockets planned in the UK. We must remember that Planes and Ships and Whales, Sharks and many living things can be chipped and tracked around the world, but if a plane crashes or disappears off the face of the earth the Super Powers can not find them.

My Insurance notified me of my vehicle involved in an accident! Seems very easy to prove it was not thankfully.
@J.R. I thought as the insurance call handler did, someone gave a registration number and when checked that comes up as a Shogun. So their description of the vehicle / colour etc will be what my insurer will need to get. Did they give the reg number and say it was a Silver Shogun. My car is sitting to be inspected if need be and it has no damage, replaced panels or new paint. When a car pulled out in front of my Orange 110 Land Rover the driver was very lucky to be alive as my vehicle was tearing up the tar as i braked hard and wrote off his vehicle. The corner of my passenger side bumper bent in and i left it as was. It was J44 GTW as i had that number on a Jeep before the LR.

@RockinghorseYou bought a Czech manufacturers car that has VW as a parent company and parts supplier. Maybe you should have bought a Hyundai built in the Czech republic designed in Germany and with better quality control and a longer warranty, or maybe a Kia built in a neighbouring country. South Korean manufacturers and Japaneses seem to be better at building vehicles to suit European weather than the likes of the VW Group who are based in Central Europe.

My Insurance notified me of my vehicle involved in an accident! Seems very easy to prove it was not thankfully.
@J.R. Jan 2019 i traded in a Suzuki Jimny with S44GTW on it and the dealership put it to auction with its original reg back on SM53 HLD. I bought it new from the dealers back in 2003, put the personal plate on and owned it all the time but had it with various family members as the Registered Keepers, just because they were. There were 2 sets of plates and a trailer plate in the car. 1 set on when handed in and 1 set in the car and the extra plate. AC must have fitted the Original SM53 HLD Plate once i got my Documents for getting my personal reg back as being mine. Only 7 days after applying. The Jimny sold and then was advertised in West Yorkshire on Autotrader at a dealers and sold. I then got speeding tickets, and threats of court, and argued with the Safety Camera People, and the DVLA and the West Yorkshire police that the car was through Arnold Clarks hands, BCA's , a Car Dealership and had a MOT someplace and had been insured and had VED on it after being changed from Disabled Class for VED. That carry on went on for all of the rest of 2019 & into 2020. (DVLA said i never notified change of Ownership, i asked who they sold the VED to.) Then the Jimny disappeared off the DVLA Database, i thought crashed, scrapped or exported.) then last year it reappeared. Maybe someone had it on a personal plate. (possibly even did a ringer.) I will be interested to hear what make and model of car had S44 GTW on it when in the alleged accident.

Super unleaded which is best?
It really is simple. The cars come with a code that means they can be on Variable Servicing and Skoda / VW recommend VW504 00 for variable or fixed servicing. That is 5w 30 FS III. The cars if being given Fixed Service Interval Oil changes can use VW502 00 which is 5w 40 FS. So you can choose what you use, but seeing as a Twincharger runs nicely on 5w 40 FS it might be worth running that. It will not affect the fuel consumption adversely and might just have the engine nicely protected. As you see on the Oil Chart the option is there to use VW502 00. Actually that option is there for all TSI engines, even the latest ones that come fro the factory with VW 508 00, that is 0w 20 FS IV as used by VW Group to get the WLTP / RDE & now RDE2 results.

Michelin cross climate tyres
Once Skoda get out the Enyaq or for those that get a ID.3 or ID.4 the topic of EV's and Winter tyres will crop up. Maybe even from anyone with a Citigo iV.

Heavy condensation on inside of windows
@Rockinghorse Every Owners manual for ever for every VW Group engine from 44 kW up and 3,4,5,6,8,12 Cyclinder and Petrol / Diesel says May Use 0.5 Litres in 1,000 km (621 miles) and it may use more in the first 5,000 km. (Now they come with VW 508 000 / 509 00 so 0w 20 FS IV and not VW 504 000 / 507 00 so not 5w 30 FS III) As to the 1.5TSI engines the issues are known with the Updates required, well some have, if all had then we could really get at VW, but plenty love their car. As to the OIl use or excessive oil use. I have replied to many members posting here on Oil needing topped up. The common theme is that they never checked the Oil level when collecting the car and never checked the oil level at operating temp, and never checked the oil until they got a warning light. If they use oil as if they are a 2 stroke engine they are gubbed, faulty, need attention, are not green and the Cylinder Deactivation & software cheats to get the WLPT / RDE results are VW Group at it again and as big a scandal as the Defeat Device cheating. VW Owners Manuals and instructions can be crap, and for oil some say Warm, some Hot, some At Operating Temperature, and some are vague. *** VW Owners Manual are not telling you to check when cold on the Flat. Obviously do that, and also do the correct way and At Normal Operating Temperature. Be able to know where the correct level is when cold so that you can check before a journey, and not have to stop and check.* 1.2, 44 kW VW Engines are checked when cold, they have only 2.8 litres oil capacity.

My Insurance notified me of my vehicle involved in an accident! Seems very easy to prove it was not thankfully.
@VRS_White_Hatch I do hope that my insurer gets back in touch with me, or i will be contacting them to see what the other party have said. When i talked with the Call handler they asked did i have the MOT details, fail and pass and receipt. I said why do you not check the DVLA MOT History site, which he did in a mater of seconds. When he asked was i sure my car was not used i said it must have been visiting England on a trailer 321 miles away or with the milometer disconnected, but the mechanic would be able to swear the car was up on a ramp and went no place. That must be the easiest of claims for them to deal with and reject.

Paint and paint code
@Diljit In your previous posts asking about Paint Codes there were links to the threads that showed what numbers were the code for the wheel colour. ? Did you take a picture of the codes on the back of the wheel. You can get the paint online, at a motor factor or at a dealership, purely up to you. ? How much did the Dealership say the Paint for your car would be when they said the car was too new for it to be available? Maybe it is cheaper when they have none, than when they can be bothered their backside to get the paint.

Heavy condensation on inside of windows
@Rockinghorse Where are you getting that 'most VAG engines burn oil these days' ? That is not something that is a coming up on this forum where those with a Skoda have cars with a VW Group engine. There are lots that get good fuel consumption with the various engines the models have.

@GUESTY No you do not see. VW 504 00 / 507 00 Is long Life oil, 504 for TSI's and the 507 00 for TDI's Fixed or Variable servicing. I use VW502 00 that is not Long Life Oil, it is Full Synthetic and not for Variable Servicing.- £1.50 per mile??!!
So far no Tax Discs and ANPR has gone as the UK Government implementation does. Millions of vehicles with no VED on UK roads. It is easy enough with vehicles registered and even without Black Boxes to have the Reg Number read as they pass a Toll Site / ANPR and as they pass another and the Registered Keeper be billed. Issue is vehicles with no Registered Keeper, like the millions with no VED. Maybe once there is GPS reception, Mobile Phone Reception & Digital Radio Reception coverage for the whole of the UK that will be fantastic. My e-Bike knows my every trip and location and can even get updates by Wi-Fi & Blue Tooth. My 2020 Vauxhall sometimes knows where i am and where i have been and somedays has not a clue where it is. For some reason the car has missed all journeys today & most of yesterdays even though the phone was plugged in and also connected by Bluetooth. Google & Microsoft knows where the phone is all the time when on and sometimes when off.- Super unleaded which is best?
ASDA / COMMA / TESCO, anyone's to VW502 00 even from Quantum / Fuchs. So that is not long life 5w 40 Full Synthetic. The engines are just fine on that, change every 9,400 miles / 372 days or sooner. Not to save money, to save the engine. That saves money.- Ford Mustang Mach - E EV European Debut
- Super unleaded which is best?
That is the recommended oil, the oil most dealerships used for fixed or variable servicing. Many have no issues with long life oil. Plenty have had dead Twinchargers. Like getting on for a 3rd of the CAVE's & a good number of CTHE's. Hence for me with Super Unleaded with its detergents the last thing i would use with a Twincharger is Long Life oil. Bore wash being a common issue. Each to their own though and what they like to use- Heavy condensation on inside of windows
Time to get the car aired and dried out as best you can. Treat the door and hatch seals ready for frosty weather and get out the carpet mats and in the rubber ones and get Damp Traps in the car and in the boot. Remove any unnecessary stuff that is in the car or boot and never leave damp clothes, cloths / pads or mats in the car overnight. Be sure the Pollen / Cabin Filter is clean / fresh and dry & replace if not. Inside glass very clean and then treated with Fog X or similar. Check the spare tyre well to see that no water is in there.- Super unleaded which is best?
@GUESTY None as the engine is not in the car. But when it goes back in it will be 5w 40 FS so to VW502 00, From Asda / Comma or where ever as that is all they need IMO. (No use of long life oil or servicing and short lived Twinchargers.) 4 Litres will be put in from empty, then checked at operating temp so near 90*oC actual not as showing on the Temp Gauge..- Driving Height
Likely something the Board of Management of the VW Group which is the biggest car manufacturer in the world but not the most profitable know. They do seem to oversee the various senior management signing off some oddities. - Super unleaded which is best?
