Dsg Basic Settings and adaptation with OBD Eleven
@Stefan_Siarzewski The car might have been serviced regularly, is it the DSG that has been Serviced accordingly, so at 40,000 miles per the Service Schedule / Guidelines or at anytime during its life? An Oil change early might be in order as well as a reset. Or is whoever saying to reset saying no Oil Change required?

Car Behaving Strangely
@nbramwel. Best get the issue logged with Skoda UK via a dealership while in warranty. ? Have you checked if your car is part of the Recall action on 1.0tsi.s because of leaking injectors? http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions EDIT. Doh, Sorry your post started my limited knowledge of this Recall Action, or Service Campaign or Skoda Secret Service Service Campaign. Best you speak with Skoda & the Dealership Master Tech again. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/484031-10-tsi-engine-recall

Porsche Taycan
Looks like he forgot to get around to the B pillar, which likely he was going to say that it is difficult at junctions, but you get that with some 4 doors and the seating position. The pillar needs to be someplace. Less tall people have their seat further forward. Maybe the Taycan drivers i have met are doing as Harry is and asking 'navigation' Fast Charger, when he wants a 'Rapid Charger' and actually a Rapid Rapid charger and not a 'Slow fast fast slow charger or Slow Rapid. The whole set up is still a co-ck up. SatNavs, Waze, Google Maps, Plug Share & ZapMaps are going to have to get better at getting you to the suitable chargers, especially when yoiu want as fast charging as you can get and are willing to pay. I used Instavolt twice once to try as harry did and it was about the same speed and price and the second time i was desperate to get a charge it was not as quick as just a Rapid charger and i was very happy to get some miles available and on my way.

Porsche Taycan
Looking forward to the new vid from 'Harry's Farm' on the Taycan. Here smug boy surely just needs to pick up the phone / go online and get a EV charger installed, not rocket science. Something others might do before the car arrives and would take priority over a wrap. Probably looking for a grant and then some tax Rebate.

Karoq SEL 1.5TSi ACT Manual 34 month Update and Review
A Terraclean would be the very last thing to be having done on engines that might need 'actions' by the manufacturer even after the Manufacturers Warranty has expired because the future is not known on engines that some have had issues from their launch. You only know what 4 or 5 year old engines are going to be like for longevity 4 or 5 years after they have been on the road. Especially with VW who never admit issues even at 1,2 or 3 years old.

All Weather tyres and Summer tyres
? Are they not speed rated as a Y so up to 186mph? This size was OEM with MK2 Fabia vRS & when owners had issues with 'Pulling Left' when there were Dunlop Sport Maxx or Continental tyres fitted and dealership were too stupid to actually sort things Skoda UK paid for Pirelli Zero Nero to be fitted and they disguised the issue with the stronger sidewalls.

Octavia Mk IV - Any experience with Octavia IV Hybrid?
So the next question as other cars are Type Approved to tow and then Skoda / Skoda Dealers say not 'prepared for towing'. ? Do they not only come type approved to tow 1,500kg, but actually have the factory fit cooling for this?

Octavia Mk IV - Any experience with Octavia IV Hybrid?
? Can the cars tow as in are they type approved by Skoda for towing and can a towbar be fitted for fitting a big carrier to?

Speeding NIP notification
The law is the law & it got David Beckham off of a prosecution, that and the solicitor. He had not the golden balls to just accept that he had been speeding. But then neither would i if i did not have to! My NIP's have arrived in time, by post or delivered by a police officer. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-45668735

2030 Ban for new cars/vans run on just petrol/diesel
So the UK Government could help those that want to go Green or Low Emissions and not scrap the car just the ICE engine. Maybe as a start drop the VAT on the Conversion or the parts. Also help businesses get started doing conversions and get young and old trained up to be ready for the near future, like in the next decade and for 2030 on. Keep the Independent Garages and Mechanic / Technicians, Engineers, Designers etc working and do not just throw money the way of the Global Car Manufacturers / dealerships & the scrap merchants as there could be money to go around to those that are just getting by or not getting by.

Eccentric EV Conversion Business in UK
- EV sub £30k comparison group tests.
A common issue with cars is also one with the Corsa. The mirrors fold in as you lock the car. The mirrors then freeze closed and sound like they will snap as you open the car in freezing conditions, not even that much below freezing but where there has been rain about before the freeze or not even rain. Need to be able to get the mirrors not to freeze. Then the same with the EV charging port flap. Frozen closed even though prepared for winter. Do PSA not test cars for UK winters and not just mainland continental Europe or places with different winters which might be more severe but dry & cold. EDIT, Got in. Block mirrors folding. Larry.- Will these alloys fit ok?
The 18" rims are the Polygram as fitted to the A1 Competition Line 1.4 TSI 122ps. MY2012. ( A1 in Red or the stickered up ones..) Horrible IMO. Or the other styles OEM or aftermarket. 7.5 x18 ET 39.5 5x100- Mot fail.... dpf removal
@Megsxx You could very easily as others do, but then you know you would be committing an offence. So you run the risk of a stop, maybe just a random roadside check and any traffic officer or DVSA employee will see the cars MOT history. They know exactly the type of vehicles to signal in for checking. A Yellow Octavia is likely No.1 After Vans and Busses.- Speeding NIP notification
I have not seen anything about a change in the 14 day period in England / Wales or Scotland since April 2020, and that includes NIP's for breaking Lockdown laws / regulations. But, The DVLA were MIA and weeks behind on many things, so that will be that.... Any court is likely to say, do the crime so pay the fine. Awareness courses were Cancelled because of Covid.- Will these alloys fit ok?
There are Bola ones or i have on order OZ ones similar in 17" for my Corsa, Maybe in your fitment in 18" or 17" which really might be best for tyres.- Will these alloys fit ok?
They will fit if the suspension is high, but only with stretched tyres and just be totally impractical. & not be legal with the rim / tyre outside the body. 18 x 7.5 rims fit with the correct ET.- Will these alloys fit ok?
PS As my insurer did not accept that 18" rims were a Factory Standard fit (OEM) size in the UK the wheels were declared as a modification, but that was no extra cost as the cars had declared mods on the Proposal & Schedule,- Will these alloys fit ok?
@GUESTY The correct Offset, PCD & width rims in 18" with the suitable tyre will fit. I have had 225/35 R 18" off an Audi on am Mk2 Fabia Hatch. (I did not like them actually, i prefer 215/40 R 17's, and i had reduced the Steering assist when on as i do with any Mk2 Fabia vRS) So which are you asking about now, is it the 18" as posted by @Carlston?- Mot fail.... dpf removal
Celtic Tuning's Advert is unbelievable, as is the DVSA / DVLA / DfT doing nothing about them and others even though they have bumped their gums about it for years.- Will these alloys fit ok?
^^^^^ The Mk2 Fabia vRS are from 2010-2015 and production stopped in 2014. The Generation might well be from 2007. So that is the Trim Production 2010-2014. @GUESTY You may get rubbing with a lowered car, but not a Standard Mk2 vRS as from the factory or with the springs fitted as the Dealer Fit Option Eibach springs fitted at the PDI in the UK. 215/40 R17 or 205/45 R 17 are a good choice for a Mk2 Fabia vRS in the UK if you are not wanting to go to a 16" rim or up to a 18" rim. There are plenty here that can contest to that. There are members that know the scores on the doors and all the spec which is great, like @Carlstonwho appear to have never actually driven the cars. PS The full size alloy and tyre to match what you fit on the car will fit in the Spare Tyre Well.- Will these alloys fit ok?
@Carlston Sometime you will have to accept that people will go for style over function in the UK and not everyone will go to smaller rims and higher sidewalls, even in the winter. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/397377-18s-on-a-fabia-mk2 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/309782-18-wheels-on-fabia-ii @GUESTY When looking for 18" rims you can find new or used that are for Audi A1's that fit and that were even the size that came on Little Audi Cars with 122ps.. They were 225/35 R 18 Tyres from the factory. Not a size Skoda used though. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/442801-audi-a1-rotors-to-fit-mk1-fabia-vrs- EV real world range and cost to charge
If time is money then no issue. Some people do not care about the cost of things, and maybe are not paying themselves. The Porsche Taycan drivers i have seen have looked disgusted that there was people waiting their turn to get on Free Public Chargers and just drove on. 2 i spoke with had no idea that they might need to be on the chargers available for some time. 150kW Charger.- EV real world range and cost to charge
