  1. VAQ at the front and Haldex at the rear and brake fluid. So that is 3 things to be getting done.
  2. It is that way because it was set like that way from the Factory giving you kph incase needed, like in RoI or Europe outside the UK and MPH on the dial. You need to have it reset to an Australian setting and you can get a digital MPH showing. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/302348-mphkph

By the time a Wet Clutch DSG car gets to over 120,000 miles there should be 3 oil changes done, so that is about £600 spent. There might be 3 or 4 Haldex Oil changes carried out so £400 to add on for driving the vehicle that might be exactly what you need or want. There might well be a saving on fuel over a less powerful car with just FWD, bit maybe not.

@kenfowler3966 I think you are talking rubbish, and have been saying the same thing for several years now on here. Abused and in remapped to over 200ps cars they can do 100,000 miles plus. There are failures in 70/75ps engine / DSG's and upwards where drivers do what they are supposed to do, drive a Semi Automatic normally and abusing nothing. It takes a special kind of idiot that sits in D with the Parking Brake on unless they have a Autohold. Not sure that has much to do with many of the failed DQ200 DSG's. There are faulty ones that were bad from new and from low miles. It was not a case of not lasting in hot climates as VW said, hence your UK car was part of Service Campaign '34F7', it was the chance of Internal Corrosion. After the change of Factory oil then a Sofrware update was needed and that was '34H5' started in 2027. Since 2015 there have been Clutch Pack issues hence the TPI's. Now with ones since the WLTP came in more TPI's and Software updates. **VW Group were the ones that said "no Recall" was required in Europe / UK because of different climates / humidity etc.** Then they had to start the Service Campaign and change the oil from 2014 in 2009-2012 DQ200s. European weather can be just as in New Zealand and the vehicles and components and Software was just the same and cars built in Europe went to New Zealand, Australia etc. ** The oil in the Mechatronic Control Unit is not the same as in the gearbox.** With the non DQ200 DSG's it is just one oil used in box and MCU.
  5. @Fpm Is it a manual. If the transmission fluid is low it had to have leaked or been low since built. Best have a mechanic look at the car and if you must a technician at a Skoda garage, but remember they appear to mostly be deaf or hard of hearing.
  6. @Fpm So what engine does the car have, size and petrol or diesel and how many miles done? Is it a Manual FWD or a AWD with Haldex? Or is it a DSG that requires a Oil change at 40,000 miles if not a DQ200 DSG? If it is a AWD the Haldex was due an Oil change and clean out of the pump in 2019. If it has low transmission fluid there is something wrong then so best get it checked out.
  7. Filling station attendants might tell you that the pumps are for HGV's or Commercials and runs too quick for a car. You just tell them you are a commercial / business driver and you need a VAT receipt please once you have used the AdBlue pump.
  8. ? Do Skoda actually have parts bins for anything other than body panels, glass and interiors? Any parts other than badges, accessories and merchandise that have Skoda written on them?

Yet some people replace the Oil in DQ200's before a clutch pack is required. There are those running the same clutches for over 10 years / 100,000 miles plus. VW Group replaced the Synthetic oil for mineral in Millions of DQ200's Globally from 2012. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/486121-skoda-fabia-dsg-issues
  10. ? Why not take a wheel off and look? What is the name of the wheels on your car? You need to be sure you can remove the wheels anyway incase of a puncture. Check the wheel bolt tightness. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/486145-paint-code

The EV's are coming with 8 year or more warranties on the battery packs and the % left in them after certain periods of time, and the early EV's are 10 years old now and going strong. Even getting the rust dealt with while the batteries are doing fine. They do need the standard battery as well though, so they might only be good for 5 years or so.

Rear brake discs that are not just running in new pads or that are binding are hardly getting much use / friction / heat unless driving a bit sportingly and using the brakes or the ESP is. Really no need for them to be getting hot or hotter than the fronts.
  13. @shyVRS245 Enjoy the car. Who was doing diesel for under 111 pence a litre. Tesco Momentum 99 is only 5 pence a litre more than Tesco Unleaded 99.
  14. I have never seen or heard of one.
  15. The badges were from BT-Design CZ that manufactured custom parts in carbon.
  16. Sealed with Synthetic oil from 2009-2012 and then a World Wide Recall in 2012 excluding Europe, then eventually a Service Campaign in Europe to remove the Synthetic Oil for Mineral and do a software update. From 2014 in the UK. Many DQ200's are not done as there was a VW Group Recall Action but no DVSA Recall. '34F7' No recall action / service campaign on late 2012-early 2013 ones that have had quite a few failures. Then in 2017 there is another Service Campaign with no Recall Actions on some DQ200's from 2013-2015 as a preventative measure die to failing boxes / leaks. '34H5'. Then there are TPI's covering DQ200's from 2015 on. Clutch pack upgrades and Software Updates. Another recall started in Australia on DQ200's from 2009-2015/16 last year for the same issues as '34H5' was started for. https://autocar.co.uk/car-news/motoring/vw-uk-no-dsg-recall-required http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/315115-service-campaign-dq200-dsg-oil-changesecu-update-fabias-in-uk http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/444027-201718-dq200-dsg-34f7-service-campaign-any-further-issues
  17. No idea but hopefully not slam them on if getting too close and you are not paying attention, just apply the brakes as you are just creeping with the traffic. ? Why not try and see? Maybe they will scare you sh-tless when going a bit quicker. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/485959-dangerous-automatic-braking
  18. Maybe it 'seems to be impossible to match paints these days', but then professionals that can match paints know that is not the case.
  19. Given that the car was 5 years old and on 39,000 miles a few months back so 2 years past the Recommendation / Guidelines / Schedule for an Oil Change and as we know a filter clean it is a good bet though that can be the issue. Takes 15 minutes to get an idea.
  20. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/471908-dsg-box-oil The Unit is not sealed anymore than anything else that is said to be sealed. You open the filler, you open the drain plug. Dealership techs are not magicians. A Dealership tech or fitter is no different from a DIY'r doing it. Oil for the Box and oil for the MCU. There are description how it is done in the Mk3 section and the General Maintenance section.
