@stonyb1 Any update on the car, did you see it and what was it?

Tyre pressure light
The light comes on because the pressure of a tyre is different from when last set and the TPMS was reset. It has nothing to do with the pressures being low or high if they were put to that pressure. All the system knows is that the circumference of the tyre has changed from when the TPMS was set. All 4 tyres could deflate a bit and you would maybe get no TPMS warning.

Fabia Monte Carlo Bike Rack
I carried 2 bikes with front wheels off with this Universal Rack and they were not too high to get under barriers at car parks or under rail bridges that might be near the access to beaches. It was not a great set up but better than the PITA of taking bikes off to get into some places. I still had to take off the bikes occasionally when there were height restrictions. I have a Thule UpRide 599 Tyre Hold carrier on roof bars now for a light bike but that is requiring me to take the bike off before getting into EV charging places which are often at park and rides. Most park and ride bike commuters i see these days are using rear carriers because of just that. No light board / reg plate fitted, but rear wiper disabled incase i forgot. Auto rear wipe off....

Citigo Electric
@Ronn So no need for an EV then or to bother if other want to drive them!. All the toys and joys or motoring available to you already.

Citigo Electric
@Ronn Just being nosy but how much petrol do you actually buy, so in other words how much driving do you do in a year? You drive a Citigo so how much more engaging in your petrol Bread van really compared to an electric Breadvan? Wolverhampton must be a great base for getting out & onto some wonderful driving roads that are lesser known on the list of the great routes in the UK.

Can you disable the stop/start?
Ps as to not doing the engine any good. That is exactly why it is only coming on sometimes and stopping the car. If the load required by the car on the battery is high it is not stopping. If the ambient temp is low it is not, and if the temp you set in the car is too far from the ambient / outside temp it is not stopping. That is how the system is designed to be. To get the WLTP certification and RDE2 even if you never allow the stop / start to operate the car had the kidology Co2 g/km figure.

Can you disable the stop/start?
Everytime you fasten your seat belt get in the habit of putting stop/start off and job done. If you happen to be sitting going no place in traffic and at roadworks etc then enable it maybe. It is as easy as that.

Citigo Electric
@MJ1 I am sitting for 40 minutes charging now at a free charger for a near 200 mile day in the Cairngorms. I did 300 miles yesterday and charged twice for 30 minutes a time. It does mean a change of thought from using petrol or diesel but by the time I plug in check in on 2 apps that I am charging, read some posts here, maybe post some it is time to head on. I have done nearly 3,000 miles of EV driving since the 10th August and paid under £12 for electricity bought. Taking advantage of the lovely weather and pretty empty roads early on and in the evenings.

New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..
Kinross Park and Ride EV charging place is a great example of the very minimum that should be available in any village, town or charging hubs in cities.

@Luckypants a small young child showed me just how to cycle through all the dash options and find the trip and other useful stuff.

Rear Brakes after 19000 miles - crazy price
Yes but side streets at 20-30 mph is different from main roads with HGV,s etc passing through all the crap that gathers on roads, snow ploughs / gritters etc. A country road with horse and cow poo is not the shame as some clean surfaced roads if you pay attention.

There are vehicles working 24 hours with 2 or more drivers. Same as with ICE vehicles taxis/ cabs and deliveries do with just down time for maintenance and drivers breaks. London is so Capital City and not representative of smaller UK cities. More should maybe check out small cities like Dundee and public hire vehicle charging. But then they hit the EU hard for funding as s they always have over the decades. I am going to be hitting the press with more info on Angus Council and the many unused public funded EV,s sitting unused by employees and not anything to do with Covid 19. These cars should be available through as car club while Angus Council are just having them sitting around.

There are TAXI drivers mumping that they have been mis-sold vehicles. Well they are entering the real world. Buyer beware. A driver last night was taking pictures on the AC charger I was on n the CCS I was using and saying he could not get 43kWh of a charge. I left him to his moaning. Another driver that I let charge this week said he was usually £100 a 24 shift for diesel when he and another driver worked and in the past 2 weeks he had ok only used £10 buying fuel.

Oil Service
Yes the car can be on Fixed servicing. Just get the service is indicator changed to that at a service. Or each year or sooner put the car in for a service. Get stuff needing done done and do not pay for stuff not replaced or even looked at.

Oil Service
It goes on the Skoda / VW system and independents with licenced equipment can do the same. And they can check recalls, service campaigns and TPI,s . Some can do warranty work. BUT get an invoice and receipt as anyway. Important at Skoda deslers have them show the body inspection is on the system for paint.corrossion warranty. SKODA UK love to say not carried out even though they know who are not doing it, and it is not in the Warranty T&C,s anyway. It is part of a Main Dealer Service though.

Rear Brakes after 19000 miles - crazy price
Something to consider and can affect some cars / wheels / brakes and be noticeable, and affected by where you park. If you park at the side of roads, maybe busy roads. The offside wheels and brakes and paint get more 'wash or debris' hitting than the nearside / kerbside does. Same parking at seaside regularly. Offside discs can corrode more or need the cleaning off of rust more often and wheels can suffer more from wear and tear. Sometimes you need to have a keeper and it takes years to notice if a phrnomimim or an internet myth started by me. It does apply though to driving single carraigeways where all the crap comes to the drivers side from cars going in the opposite direction.

EV sub £30k comparison group tests.
Skoda who produce and register a fraction of the cars VW do going to get the Co 2 average emissions then with the Mild hybrid 1.0 and 1.5 TSI DSG,s and bigger petrol plug ins. VW free to flog the more expensive e-Up if production of those continues.

The Black / White hybrid cab drivers seem to be divided in their opinion of the vehicles they have splashed £59,000 out on. I have listened to a few that really should have their own chargers, or chargers only available to them. Also not happy at the charging speeds on AC.

Because carrying a motorbike engine and petrol was kidology and the WLTP and RDE certification was going to show that. The 170ps range extender was rather good and many of those with them seem to want to stick with them.

Oil Service
Simples for TSI,s on fixed servicing can use vw502. Or vw504/ 507, fixed or variable. or now vw 508/509 since WLTP introductions. For fixed or variable servicing. TDI,s and it has to be the 507 or 509 which is 0w 20 fs IV crap . Producer of no consequence and not voiding any warranties in the EU or the UK.

Citigo Electric
So Skoda are going to be trying to get enough sales of 1.0tsi DSG mild hybrids and also 1.5 TSI,s and the plug in,s so no need to flog the cheapest of the 3 sister small EV,s leaving VW to. That will be the actuality and the words someone working for Skoda / VW will not utter.

Oil Service
Actually Quantum / Fuchs for TPS now. Official VW UK supplier. Has been for a couple of years.
-
Oil Service
The oil and filter do not have to be bought from Skoda. The correct fluids and filters or parts have to be used. Even Skoda CZ and Skoda dealerships do not 'buy from Skoda' as Skoda do not produce oil or manufacture filters. So approved repairers or VAT registered establishments and the correct consumables. It is s free market and best read warranty T&C,s if interested.

Gearbox and 4x4 Differential Servicing
You are talking guff. As those that have had technicians / mechanics mix up draining the Haldex and the rear diff oil well know. I suggest you get under your car and look. Take pictures of the Haldex as and of the rear diff. Or read the threads on here and look at the pictures. Even ones of blown rear diffs. There are some in the Yeti section. Maybe @J.R. can share his experience.
