Tried tuning
I think they've now been clinically proven to not be worth it. Get a proper re-map done instead. Far better for the car, and far better value for money. In my opinion. Gaz

Hi from sunny leeds and my superb superb!
Hello Jay from sunny Leeds π My intro to Skoda was a 2005 Superb. That didn't have bluetooth either. Didn't stop it being a terrific car π Gary

somebody make a decision for me . . .
Hello Marcus My Mk3 Octavia estate's boot was the perfect size for a mobility scooter, but a class 2. I probably wouldn't want to squeeze a class 3 in for any distance. It was a vRS, so had the wet DQ250 six speed box, which I thought suited the car well. The vRS seats suited me, but don't suit everyone. I have a Golf now, and find the heated leather seats better. Same engine and box as the vRS, and I have to say I'm a fan of both. Gaz

Hello Skoda, Goodbye Kia!
Hello Johnny π I absolutely loved my Superb π Now in a Golf GTI, while my Wife also has a late 2015 Polo GTI, so we are similarly a family of VAG drivers. Gaz

Octavia vRS rust just above license plate
Hello JB π If you have a search on this forum, you'll find quite a number of posts relating to tailgate rust. My 2015 vRS, which I bought new, went back for tailgate rust when it was but a few months old. Even that young, Skoda initially didn't accept the claim. But to be fair, it was subsequently dealt with without further ado. Gaz

Passenger door
I like classic's answer! π If it were me, I'd probably disconnect the outer door handles connections, leaving it inoperative, while leaving the inner handle still functional. Taping over it is quite a good, simple solution, maybe with a no entry sign. A switch in the wiring loom, to simply break power to the lock(s) would also do it. Lock the doors, activate the switch, unlock and the NSF remains locked. A switch could be added to one of the blanks in your centre console. Gaz

Mac update problems
Mac in business (pun intended). All data recovered, new hard drive in, and working quite a bit faster than prior to the HD fault. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that the original HD is a Toshiba. Very happy bunny π Gaz

Mac update problems
Is anyone else having problems with the latest update? My MBP has re-started, but has now had a grey screen for five hours. Looking on the web and Iβve seen comments ranging from βseveral hoursβ to βup to 16 hoursβ for the update to complete. Just wondered if anyone else is experiencing the same? Gaz
