  1. Hi, has anyone experienced the occasional problem where on starting the engine there is a speaker pop and then the infotainment will not make any sound. The whole system Inc radio, media, telephone, sat nav are silent. It only works again by basically turning off the engine, locking the door and waiting about 20 mins to reset. I have tried rebooting, checking mute button etc. Any help much appreciated
  2. Not as far as I know. The problem is the port does not read the sd card 😭😭
  3. Thank you for the clarification. I finally sorted the problem it was a faulty card reader causing the problem, purchased another and it works. Don't suppose anyone knows if you can import points of interest ( speed cameras) onto this head unit!
  4. I am sure this is an mib2.5?
  5. Wow that's some reading on the thread, looks like the old system was more forgiving to use. Nothing like an upgrade to confuse an oldie!
  6. I'll try to reformat the card, it is currently in an adapter connected to the usb c socket in the car. The files are currently organised by artist then album so will play around with that too. Thanks for the info
  7. I tried that but cannot get the media to recognise the files. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow in the daylight.
  8. Hi, I have today picked up a new L&K which I believe to have the Columbus MIB2.5 unit. My old Columbus did have a cd player and 2 sd card slots which alas the new car does not. Is there any way I can play my collection using my sd cards via the usb slots in the new car. When I link a dongle to the car the media player does hot recognise the files. I do not want to play these via my phone as the collection is too vast for the memory. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Does anyone know where I can get a new one. The wife broke mine. Cheers
  10. Just checking, are you saying that if you get your car serviced at a Skoda dealer you get breakdown insurance throughout Europe included in the price of the service?
  11. I get this problem from time to time, was wondering if it is associated with the rattle behind the radio, possible loose lead?
  12. Trying to remove the radio to investigate the dreaded rattle. I can remove the trim but cannot see any torx screws to remove the unit. Do I need radio keys now if so what type or is there another method of removal? Tia
  13. Hi is there a way of not activating the alarm system rather than isolation of the interior sensor. Going on a car ferry and alarm should be left unset but the doors locked. Many thanks
  14. This is how my car was when new. The trim was eventually replaced by the dealer after it peeled back after hot weather. The new trim is slightly shorter. It is a common problem.
  15. The only issues with mine has been the chrome trim around the windows coming off and the dreaded rattle at about 1800- 2000 revs when accelerating coming from the dash/ radio area. Otherwise a lovely car.
  16. Could you not use the key blade located in the remote fob?
  17. Mine is behind dash board and ash tray area, had it for 2 years now definitely worse when air con is on. Dealer could not find a problem bet they could now it is out of warranty
  18. Yep happened to me on several occasions. Once with keys in my pocket other times cannot explain it
