  1. In fact scrap the Aygo!! Was told today that I wouldn't have the model I want until the end of April beginning of May, you know what it's like when you order a new car you just want it ASAP and to be honest there was something bugging me about the Aygo but couldn't put my finger on it!! lol... Aygo cancelled with deposit refunded Off to look at Citigo black edition tomorrow, hopefully I'll like that!!
  2. *Runs for cover* ! lol Should get it within the next few weeks but that's to be confirmed soon...
  3. Shoot me down I've gone against the grain!! LOL.... Love the bold look of the Aygo, I've just ordered an X-Play model, well equipped & very nice little cars and the garage let me have a test drive alone for as long I wanted and it struck me as a very capable little car (was very unforgiving on the test drive) and peanuts to run with no road tax & high 60's mpg. I'm 6'3 and I had loads of room. Maybe just not as refined as the Citigo but it was perfectly acceptable and it was happy sitting at 70-80mph with some power to spare, slightly up on power compared the Citigo with 69bhp vs 60bhp + 5 year 100,000 mile warranty.
  4. Skoda UK just posted some pictures of the new Monte Carlo range on Facebook, heres the Citigo version.
  5. Due to medical reasons I've had to surrender my driving licence so I have decided to sell my Citigo rather than have it sitting doing nothing for the next 12 months. Pre-reg and was registered on the 28/9/13 on a 63 plate. It's a 3 door S model with the 1.0L 60PS 12 valve engine with a few extras, PID - navigation, bluetooth and trip computer, also a proper spare wheel and jack. Two sets of tyres winter & summer. And it's also been treated with Supaguard. Less than 800 miles on the clock, Skoda warranty up until September 2016 or 60k miles. Looking for £6495.00 OVNO. The Citigo is advertised elsewhere.
  6. Thanks Damo! thought I'd messed it up, panic over
  7. Sorry if this is in the wrong place! I've just bought freedom for £12, should it get automatically get applied or am I doing something wrong? Thanks!
  8. To be replaced by a Citigo vRS...
  9. I'd have thought the S model weighed the least, much less gadgets and fancy bits?
  10. When Skoda decided to have a petrol only motor powering the Fabia II vRS thats another big reason why they lost a lot of customers, Don't see many MKII vRS knocking about up here. The new i10 is a vast improvement over the last one, I think it looks quite smart and you certainly get a good bit more kit for your money plus a 5 year warranty.
  11. Mine works fine in navigation mode, took me on a 600 mile trip up to Scotland a few weeks back and it performed very well. I like the option that allows you to select the route you'd like to take, fastest - slowest, the graphics are fantastic as well when it zooms into ground level to assist with tricky junctions, it shows exactly how it does look out of the windscreen. Gives plenty of warning too.
  12. And you won't let her run winters all year round? lol Temps has fallen to 3*c and my tyres feel reassuring with plenty of grip. When do you normally take them off and fit the summers? I'll probably get mine changed over again in April, if at all...
  13. I'll let the garage have a look into it as it really drives me crazy! Not sure how the PID will work with a different radio, be interesting to see if you could play music from the PID & bluetooth through a pioneer unit, one thing there'll be a big gaping hole in the dash to fill in as the Citigo radios are fairly big things.
  14. No it's much worse! The one in the sport worked fine with no issues, thats why I think they are different units. If they're the same then there is deffo something wrong with the current one.
  15. My radio is shocking!! The radio reception is very poor and it loses programmed in stations and quite a lot of the time I'm unable to listen to it at all and I find myself pressing seek which makes no difference. I'll let the garage have a look at it, must be a very cheap piece of kit in the S, any other 'S' owners have the same problem?
  16. Mine says beware if I'm travelling faster than the speed limit for the road I'm on.
  17. Yeah I saw you dissing the Citigo S! haha..... I bought a set of Vredestein snowtrac 3's, Couldn't stretch to anything too expensive and I didn't want anything overly cheap and nasty either! Got the standard eco tyres stacked up in my garage, not even sure I'll swap them back on yet but best keep hold of them just incase. Another + for the winters is that they are far more chunkier than the standard ones, fill the wheel arch a fair bit and it looks better all round. Looking forward to some proper winter driving, me, a few mates and the little Citigo S wearing winter tyres, should be fun
  18. Winters tyres now fitted and all seems well, they'll need a couple of hundred miles to bed but they already feel like a solid and predictable set of rubber, the turn still feels sharp and braking good. Just been out for a drive on this very wet and cold (4*c) night - they cut through flood water reassuringly without and loss of control or light feel to the steering. The real test will be this weekend when I'm up in the Scottish Highlands, and they've had plenty of snow!
  19. I've ordered a set of the black Seat Mii hubcaps so I'll see how they look when they arrive - I've taken all the wheel trims off, hate the silver plastic wheel look & I think it makes the Citigo look soft with them on and I'd much rather keep it simple with the black & red colour scheme all round. Black wing mirrors, door handles and wheels with the red body! The hub nuts on the front axles have gone rusty this probably because it's been sitting around at the dealers since October, should I spray them with WD40 or maybe even get some of that rust remover that you paint on, like this - http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_188249_langId_-1_categoryId_165594
  20. The tyres arrived yesterday, very chunky with a fairly smart looking directional tread. Can't wait to get them fitted on Monday.
  21. I think it's quite well proofed against chipping & corrosion? Seems to have a thick painted coating of sorts, it's whether you can put up with the noise which I'm going to try and do. Turn the radio up and you can't hear a thing
  22. I need the winter tyres now, just been left with a covering of hail!
  23. You didn't buy a 1.0 Citigo expecting it would set the road on fire did you? :p My previous car was a MK1 Fabia vRS TDI, I'd still take the Citigo any day, feels nippy enough (past 3k rpm) and has more of a fun to drive factor than the Fabia plus far comfier They do everything they're meant to do very well, albeit in a noisy fashion lol
