why dont we get ads like these
texasjohn replied to Leon-y-k's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Because the 'Marketing people' think they know best, alas :| -
What does the owners manual advise? You're better off changing the oil when the engine (and oil) is warm, as it's viscosity will be lower. As for checking it I am not sure whether it matters, but if you do check it when the motor is warm, ensure that it's been stood (switched off) for a short while in order to ensure all the oil has drained back into the sump

Is that buggy a one-off? Didnt realise they made the Rapid as late as a J plate, either. Cool.

That would be rather unethical. An unethical car dealership? Holy Smokes, Batman!

That's nice, Dave Without wanting to sound like a ricer, how many BHP can you get out of the stock motor with bolt-ons (exhaust, filters, upgraded carb, ignition) and a bit of headwork? Also, is the engine in the back, am I right in saying? I see there is a nice looking white rapid coupe for sale on the site, and I am very tempted by it to be honest! When I get back to the UK I was going to buy a cheap MX5 or Mk1 XR2 as a weekend car, I really want a RWD though and the 130s fit that bill

Working bank holiday friday - SO BORED
texasjohn replied to Emily-Elizabeth's topic in The Roadside Hotel
^ now there's an idea! More off topic sections might upset the mods/owners though. It got so bad on JW that we have a 'spammers corner' so all the regulars can BS at oneanother! -
I didn't like the Favorit, but I did like the 130 range from the years prior to it. A friend had a 136 rapid coupe, one of the few affordable rear wheel drive cars of it's day. My word we had some fun in that!

Pugeot 205 1.9 GTi - what do you know.
texasjohn replied to Goochie's topic in General Automotive Chat
Could be a CTi... not quite as ghey. The last few models of the CTi were a 1.9i rather than a 1.6i and probably have some rarity value nowadays -

Any pics of your dog handy? If it's not a strange request, just trying to keep you from the wrath of boredom! I posted some of our two here... http://www.briskoda.net/forums/photography-photoshop/sunset-fox-house/51526/#post585020 -

Wow, they look really nice on metallic green (Lummox's pics) I don't know why, just has that x-factor thing for me. Any other pics of that particular car with it's TT wheels fitted, Lummox?

texasjohn replied to RallyRed's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Not my cup of tea, but each to their own! -
Yep, If I wasn't buying new I'd buy one of the cars on here for sale, much better value than the stealerships. I mean 10,500 is internet broker price for a new one almost!

Welcome!

Erm... Good luck!

Welcome! Getting out of a 1.8 Mondeo rental car to test drive the Fabia vRS a few weeks back, the Fabia flew up the road much quicker than I expected! Sold on it there and then after the test drive!

Well does the kerbing matter if they are only for track use? Edit: Forget I said that, I see what you were getting at now (not buying brand new ones) How much are brand new ones Harrystainer?
