  1. Better SWAT than Max Power though, Jason! (NB w.r.t. cockups; the writer missed an 's' from the word car in the first line of text and also started the following sentence with the word 'and', but I am just being pedantic now! )
  2. They are imports from Japan hence the rust warning a couple of posts up - JDM vehicles are not generally rustproofed from the factory.
  3. Sod the lights, where can I buy one of those spoilers? (just kidding!)
  4. Welcome to the site, legs!
  5. Nice motor! My stepdad had one brand new - DYD69T. Sadly it died in the early 80s after a drunk driver ploughed into it and wrote it off. I am of course assuming yours is a B and not a C (I'd not know the difference TBH) My first decent car was an MG although not a proper one (an Austin Rover one)
  6. If not rolling radius (but sure looks bigger to me!) More unsprung weight, maybe? (just guessing)
  7. ^ yeah, always helps to define which particular variant of the Fabia they'd fit!
  8. The 4.2 W8 motor should fit in the Superb as it fits in the Passat. Skoda Lover beat me to it with reference to the Bugatti! I'd like a 2.0T FSI motor in a Fabia vRS though, that would be nice
  9. I'd speak with a dealer on that one, mate. they might let you if they think you are very serious about buying the car! One way to do it might be to agree prices and leave a deposit on the new car 'subject to a satisfactory test drive' - i.e you get your money back if you don't like the car after the days' test drive. On the Skoda website there is an option (click on 'test drive' on the webpage) for a 24hr test drive but only applies to Octavia and Superb IIRC. Good luck!
  10. People have fitted 18s but I am not sure what other mods (if any) were needed. You'll have to wait for another response or use the search function to find out details
  11. I was browsing the site last night in respect of Fabia ICE and speakers. I am pretty sure I read somewhere that the Classic does not have prewiring for the rear speakers. You'd be better off (IMHO) with a good quality wire, anyway, rather than that grey stuff you get supplied with speakers.
  12. What is the speed rating on the OEM Fabia vRS tyres then? Surely it's not higher than V?
  13. lol! You could always put a heat shield around the cone as well as moving it a little behind the battery case. See pic. Check this link out for an idea of what I mean... http://www.540i6.com/heatshield.html
  14. While I don't want to upset mods on here (and the OP, Daz) by taking this discussion off topic, I feel I should defend my opinions... Like I said, as Jabbasport are the only supplier of this part, you have to pay whatever they charge for it. It still seems like a lot of money to me, but if I want the part, I have to pay what Jabba want to charge as they are currently the only supplier of the product. I'll not buy any non-Skoda part til my car is out of warranty, so really it's academic to me for the next three years anyway. Based upon everyone's feedback and my own experience of an ARB on another car, I am sure the difference in handling of the vehicle makes it a worthwhile buy. That said however, on the basis that MP Performance can do a similar part for 45 quid + shipping, perhaps there is a business opportunity here for someone Fair play to Jabbasport though for making whatever they can on it; of course they are a business not a charity!
