  1. No recode needed, just direct hardware swap. Nesrly a year one still no issues!
  2. Couldn’t agree more. Miles apart from anything else I’ve owned.
  3. Engine: 2.0 tsi Type: VRS estate 2014 Mileage:144,000 Camelot changed X times - chain Manual or Auto- manual Gearbox oil changed X times - none Any other major work done? - stage 1 revo at 70k, original clutch. No major work, oil change every 5k.
  4. Thanks. That’s not the pedal return spring you mean is it?
  5. This one is driving me mad. i have a squeaky clutch pedal. I went to look underneath the dash and sprayed first gt85 then lithium white spray grease on the spring, and any moving parts I could see. I went right under the dash. the squeak is now louder! I think its coming from the top end of the clutch pedal. anyone know how to fix this?
  6. I bought it from a dealer in 2018 with 70k. Full service history and no clutch. My guess is the first 70k were mostly motorway as just under 20k per annum. so still on original clutch. To be fair I don’t hoon it much.
  7. I got a revo stage 1 remap on my 2014 220 tsi. I’ve posted on this before. I remapped the car when it had 70k about 4 years ago. It’s now on 136k on same stock clutch. when I got it mapped they were able to adapt the boost kicking in to later on as they were worried about slip. I said that was fine. So it still hits peak power and torque just a little later. clutch is still fine!
  8. just wanted to update this. I replaced the sensor as the above suggestion and so far the light has gone out and stayed out! If this worked this has literally saved me around £900 and an unnecessary whole inlet manifold replacement. thank you @evilsid
  9. Thank you! Super helpful. I will try this first. Got to be worth it. thanks again
  10. First real costly problem has come up after 5 years of ownership! i’ve had it scanned by garage and this fault has come up: P2014 - Intake Manifold Position Sensor (Bank 1). the EML is also intermittently on. garage said its checked signals and electrical connection and fine. They’ve suggested needing whole new intake, with gaskets etc. all in with labour just less then £1k! before I commit to this, has anyone else had this issue? Car has 130k and been faultless. thank you
  11. Go for a petrol with dsg. The revo stage 1 and revo dsg. You won’t regret it.
  12. Sorry to hear, glad all passengers were safe. i think all the fires reported on here have been diesel engines.
  13. There was a stone in the rear brake disc on my vrs. So went to remove the rear caliper pins and managed to round off the bottom bolt!! So annoyed. I can’t fit a socket as there’s no space. Anyone got any recommendations?
