  1. Lol, yep, its a bit in ya face, but we love it! I've only driven it for a few hundred miles, as two weeks after we got it, I shattered my lower leg nd broke my ankle in a training ride on my enduro bike, looks like I'm not going to drive it any time soon either. But it does make a very rapid taxi...........the wife being a slightly mental biker like me does like the go pedal!
  2. Beg to differ, PC World, Samsung NX1000 - £399.99 - £50 cashback from Samsung and a Galaxy Tab 7", Just bought my wife one for Christmas.
  3. wind noise can also be the front grill, again just do a search there is a dealer fix.
  4. There is a thread on here on wind noise, its an easy fix but requires a trip to the dealer to get it fixed. Just search for "wind noise" or go through couple of pages in the Octavia 2 part of the forum. Found it..... http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/237398-new-car-wind-noise/page__st__30
  5. cheers............I'll be fine I'm sure. I intend on getting on the push bike as quick as I can to regain some fitness and loose some weight I'm bound to put on. I'm going to use the time I have once i'm able to weight bare to get the ZX10R all cleaned up and some of it re powder coated, then sort out the race bike ready to get out on a blast at the earliest opportunity! I'll keep you all posted as I make progress as well.
  6. Hi all, just thought I'd give you an update. The operation to fix my leg/ankle was a success although instead of the 2hrs they thought it took 4. This has caused a few issues as the foot had major swelling after the op and this delayed me getting a full cast, which in turn delayed my release, but I am now home. I had a feeling the injuries where bad but had no idea just how bad, basically I have shattered the joint where the Tib and Fib form the socket that the ankle sits in, they have rebuilt it s best they can but some of the bone was so smashed it was beyond use. To add to this I snapped about an inch of the Fib clean off and have a spiral fracture up the Tib. Also I have broken the ankle too. They think that it will be 3 to 6 months before I can walk again unaided and up to a year before I can ride if at all. It really depends on recovery and how much feeling and movement I get back. Still I should be able to rive the VRS by Christmas if I'm lucky, here's hoping.
  7. I quite like it too, especially with the black grill.
  8. cheers for the heads up........just ordered myself a set, now only another twelve weeks to wait till the doc lets me drive again!

  14. hello mate, been in hospital for 8 days so far having my leg pinned and plated hopefully this Thursday. They've not started yet as the swelling has been too bad.......I actually took my foot all the way round the wrong way so had to have it reseated in a field by the paramedics before they could split it and load me into the air ambulance. first time I've had an off like this but have a good selection of injuries built up over the years including a pinned and plated neck, lol.
  15. hi all, new to the forum as just picked up an octave vrs but my first love has always been bikes. have a 2008 zx10r for the road and race a rieju marathon 450 pro in enduro's, hare &hounds and big bike rallies . currently laid up in hospital with a broken tibia and fibia and discolated ankle after a little off on the enduro bike!
  16. hi all just wanted to introduce myself........go by the name diveslob. the wife and I took ownership of a new octavia vrs in ralleye green the other day. managed to do a thousand miles in it in the first week whilst on holiday and have to say we are very impressed. I now have a little issue and won't be driving for the next three months having snapped my tibia and fibia and dislocated my right ankle whilst out playing on my enduro bike. still it gives me plenty of time to hang out on here.........and the wife's well happy as she has unlimited access to Kermit (yes we named the car).
