  1. That would be fine at the point of delivery but in my case I didn't notice the imperfections until the first time I washed the car, so I'd not be able to prove it had been delivered like that. I meant to do a post about this as I have a rough/patchy section of paint on the bootlid, as if it's not been completely painted and lacquered and the edge of one wheelarch isn't as perfect as it should be.
  2. There is of course the possibility that it was on the previous ship, it's been bashed on board or on arrival in UK and the delay is because it's being repaired..... Not convinced mine hasn't had paint since it left the factory but I'd never be able to prove it.
  3. Mine has been the same in recent weeks, just gone past 4k and there's been a noticeable improvement in eagerness, although my mpg is yet to improve. Must admit I thought I was being daft but maybe not....
  4. The LEDs are clearly capable of showing the full spectrum so why Skoda insist on limiting this to three basic colours is beyond me. My 2012 Mini Cooper had a toggle switch to change the ambient lighting colour shown in the door pockets, door handles, C pillar and submarine downlighters. You just held the switch until the desired colour arrived then changed the brightness to suit. Simply clever I'd say.
  5. Ahh yes, the Skoda Superb advert that barely shows the car, puzzles me that. The Land Rover gets more air time, nice one Skoda!
  6. http://www.bnma.org/faqs.html seems to say 3D and pressed are legal assuming they meet BS AU 145d.
  7. I'd second the Nilfisk. My first lasted 9 years, just bought another. Shop around as good offers usually to be found.
  8. Is it displaying a 65 plate then? How can you be sure it's your car? If you have an email stating they'll hold it for the 16 plate change then throw that back at them, it's their problem.
  9. Spotted in Mold at 1700 today was SE L Exec hatchback KJ15EBM which is/was a Skoda UK press car: This is the first Superb 3 I've seen properly on the road (bar the reflection of mine in shop windows). The last I saw was a black estate a few weeks after launch in October last year and that was a fleeting glance across a roundabout. KJ15 looked very nice in the fading daylight, especially with the tail light boot sections lit
  10. If people disagree that's fine Nick, we're all entitled to our opinion on these things. It does make me laugh how people on here get so irate when others don't concur. Keep illuminating those brake lights ACC fans
  11. Just to add to another pointless thread, I don't like the ACC, it's not a safety feature, it's a convenience feature that allows the driver to be lazy and not fully concentrate on what is going on ahead. Front assist alone is a decent safety feature. Oh by the way Gaselle, by your logic, most internet forum posts must be pointless. If you like ACC, good for you.
  12. It only 'aids' driving if you're lazy or incompetent IMHO Mike. Not sure what your comment about wireless is all about as that's nothing to do with the operation of the vehicle per se.
  13. I've no doubt that there is a certain threshold, probably based on the distance set but they still illuminate on occasions where they wouldn't when manually driving / slowing and that is my point.
  14. Why would the car illuminate the brake lights unless it was braking? Jedi mind tricks?! As for how do I know - I use my mirrors and the LED brake lights are very obvious lighting signs, number plates etc after dark.
  15. Sorry guys, this is an ACC bashing thread. No ACC appreciation here please As for the 'don't use it' comments, I don't now, I tried it, I didn't like it, but you ACC lovers all feel free to carry on letting your car unnecessarily illuminate your brake lights on the motorway rather than you taking your foot off the throttle and planning ahead
  16. I really don't get on with the ACC. What a stupid system. It's ridiculous the way it applies the brakes or more to the point illuminates the brake lights, when just taking the throttle off would have produced the same result. Unnecessary braking causes a ripple effect on motorways and dual carriageways and ultimately causes hold ups. ACC, lane departure warning and the like will only serve to make drivers less safe.
  17. My bad, I'll start my own ACC bashing thread.

  19. I got in mine the other night after it had been parked for around 4 hours and the inside of the windscreen was literally running with condensation. The blowers and heated screen sorted the worst of it within a couple of minutes but I still had water spots on the inside from the end of the 'runs' when I got home 25 mins later. I have the air con switched on all year round, always have and the only car I've ever had this problem with previously was ironically my 2006 Octavia. Not particularly impressed tbh.
  20. One local to me uses a current shape Qashqai.
  21. Mine also has front sensors, assumed it was standard on SE Business?! Hope they get you on the road soon!
  22. I'm not sure that's quite right as my new Superb has ACC with the radar integrated in the grill, but no camera, AFAIK the camera is for other functions such as lane assist etc.
