  1. Set of four in gloss black fitted with Sunny Snowmaster 205/40 17's. Tyres are 6 years old but plenty of tread left and no perishing etc. All wheels have some chips/slight corrosion but no kerbing. 5x100 ET45 7jx17 £150 ono collected from SY11 Shropshire. Stupid uploader won't let me put pics on,will sort later.
  2. Just the plastic piece? replaced the one on mine not along ago, brand new from dealers was no where near £45
  3. Sounds like a badly leaking gasket,or worse still a crack somewhere. The usual head lift these get doesn't normally cause overheating,it pressurises the coolant though
  4. 99% the same engine as a Fabia VRS so yeah it will fit in the bay,but you will need to find out if the mounting points are on the shell for the engine and box Could be that all mk1 Fabia shells have the same mounting points for engine and transmission,if so it will go straight in.
  5. I haven't heard a car with a single tone horn for years! The VRS has dual tone as standard, just replaced both of mine as the high tone failed. the new ones are much louder. search eBay for Fabia VRS horn
  6. Ah right you are PQA? I drive for another DB owned company,Arriva Trains Wales
  7. What a lovely looking car Alloys are bang on size and ET,fill the arches lovely. I can now see why you have so much spare ££££ to throw at your car's seeing as you drive for Cross Country! I too get free travel on Cross Country services
  8. As above TPS are having your pants down there!!! Should include a new turbo at that price. ........... If you remove the low oil pressure warning switch it gives you better access to the oil feed union onto filter housing. The union should come undone and leave the threaded adapter in the filter housing, but they are known to be tight and you might find the threaded adapter starts to undo rather than the union. If that happens you will need a spanner on the threaded adapter to hold that in place whlist you undo the union
  9. No gasket on the pump is there? Iirc it's sealed with a big rubber O ring. What ratio of coolant have you used?
  10. Looks like Jeremy Beadles hand holding that oil pick up pipe! :D
  11. The oil feed is bolted to the side of engine with a clamp
  12. Go get yourself a small extendable mirror with LEDS on it from a local motor factor/home bargains etc, really useful for jobs like this :)
  13. BiggRed is a decent supplier of rebuild kits :) I think after the issues you have had I would buy a pair of second hand calipers and refurbish them, easy to swap over then. If you remove yours and it's got internal damage to the caliper bore or summat you are stuck with a car in bits. Also personally I would never just refurbish one caliper,as it's asking for differing brake performance then compared to the old one :)
  14. Yeah be fine. Shocks will work ok too,as they will be shortened to allow the adjustment range on the spring seats. They will need to be lowering springs though due to the shorter shocks,I wouldn't think standard VRS springs would work.
  15. If you don't want to be able to alter the height just get some rear lowering springs and fit them, obviously without using the adjusters currently fitted :)
  16. Fronts or rears? Fronts are simple, rears are complicated as the handbrake mechanism is internal
  17. Great job :) Love the flaming of the inlet! Where did you get that idea? One thing I would have done whilst cam cover/EGR was off is bang in a set of PD150 headbolts
  18. I think grumpy Matt is sulking about the bearings :O
  19. Supplied you with the wrong size bearings? Good job you didn't have them ceramic coated! (Hope Alexs are the correct size :O )
  20. Holy **** that's miles out :( They state on the website it fits 'European 02M gearboxes' I would be sending them pics before you modify it,get some money back
  21. It's on the front of the block, gearbox end of block between the gearbox and the oil filter housing quite low down if you are looking from above
  22. Are you welding it on yourself? If you are still on the standard back box I would be going to your local Longlife/powerflow/custom stainless steel exhaust place and getting a back box made up rather than welding a new tip onto the old mild steel back box :)
