  1. I guess it depends what you want from the drive. I've not had a Superb, but we did have a Volvo XC40 PHEV. Initially, I used B as I thought the regen would improve electric range. After a few months I went to D. Found no difference in range, but it was a smoother, more enjoyable ride. We now have an Elroq and again, started in B but went back to D. We still use B in town but get better out of town consumption in D. You just need to remember the extra weight of the battery and brake early enough. I know it's not a Superb, but hope this helps.
  2. Your screen is showing "charge immediately to 50%" so if you car is less than 50% when you plug it in, it will immediately charge. We dropped ours to 20% as we're not likely to go below that.
  3. Checked on Octopus tonight and it seems that they can now communicate directly with the Elroq so you can go to Intelligent Octopus even if you don't have a compatible charger. I tried to change over as the cheap rate is 1.5p kWh less than Octopus Go + you get an extra hour. Changeover didn't go that well, so I'll try again tomorrow.
  4. We use Octopus GO as we have neither the car nor charger compatible IOG. We get 5 hrs cheap rate from 00.30 - 05.30. As I understand it, the cheap rate is 1p/kWh more expensive than IOG, so not really significant. If we run the car down to 20%, it takes 2 nights to get it back to 80%, although we can do 40% to 80% in one night. Whether the extra hr from IOG would bring that down to one night, I don't know, but for us, it's not really a problem as we don't need the car every day. I thought IOG was 6hrs rather than 7 13.30 - 0530, but I could be mistaken.
  5. It's disappointing with Intelligent Octopus. It may not come onstream as quickly as people hope. Enyaq 80 is supported but the 85 isn't and it's been about for 18 months or so.
  6. I made an expensive mistake when I ordered my car. The other half convinced me that I didn't need a towbar, so I saved £750. I've since found out that I do need a towbar and to have it fitted after-market is costing £1300, so not much of a saving!😢 I guess I could get something cheaper, but I don't want a lump sticking out the back that I hit my shins on. The quote is for the same towbar as the factory fit, and it gets added to the build spec and doesn't affect warranty.
  7. I've never plucked up courage to try trained parking. Only had Maxx to get the two electric seats which you didn't get with the Advanced Pack. I'd have to say though, that the 360 cameras together with the excellent turning circle, make parking pretty easy anyway. Maybe one day when no one's watching. ☹️
  8. Hi Fillst, can't say that I've really used it, but I remembered reading something about it in the manual. I just checked the manual and it states that the massage function switches off after 10 minutes. It doesn't actually state how long it has to be off before you can use it again. Could that be your problem?
  9. It's an easy enough job, but the wheels are heavy. Front wheels are the worse as you can't stop the hubs turning when you're trying to put the wheels back on. I used a pretty standard 2 tonne aluminium trolly jack and it did the job ok. Just read both sets of instructions as on the fronts you use two existing screws and drill two new holes for plastic plugs. For the rear you use three existing screws and drill one hole for a plastic plug.
  10. Hi Luckypants, I finally got around to fitting the mudflaps. Not sure how many pics I'll be able to attach
  11. Thats a good plan. Get it organised before you get the car. I made the mistake of paying for the car before asking what I could get. Obviously, at that stage, I couldn't get anything without paying through the nose.
  12. Hi Steve153. Welcome to the Elroq club. I have mudflaps front and rear, but I didn't get a price for fitting as the Sales guy said the Workshop would rip us off. Price of the mudflaps including VAT was £120.80. Fitting isn't too difficult, but you do need to take the wheels off. There's a couple of screws to take out of each mudguard liner and the mudflaps fit on these + there's a couple of holes to drill in each liner for push-in plastic fixings which presumably stops them fllapping in the wind.
  13. Hi TAP, I'h have to say it's been a bit of a disaster. We went for the Kenwood DRV-A610W bundle. The dash cam is very compact, which in some ways is good, but if you want any information from the drivers seat, you have to lift your bum off the seat and lean over to have a look.Unfortunately, simply clever Skoda thinks you're out of the car and switches off the ignition, and of course, the dash cam goes off. I downloaded the app onto my phone, but I haven't managed to get the app and the dash cam talking to each other. Undeterred, I thought I'd download the software so that I could view on my laptop, but it wouldn't download as you need Windows 11 and my lapytop is Windows 10. If I'm honest and had the time again, I probably wouldn't bother.
  14. I'm sure you'll love EV driving. Ours went in for fitting dash cams last week and they lent us an ICE Kodiaq and we found it quite alien after the Elroq. I've still to see one in Timiano Green so pictures would be good. Enjoy!!
  15. Intersting that the rubber mats do have Elroq printed on them
  16. I have a question for all the tech wizzards amongst you. Can you use ACC without the Traffic Sign Recognition? We have a problem, thanks mainly to the SNP Government. The speed limit in Scotland for HGV's is 40MPH as opposed to 50MPH for the rest of the UK. To emphasize the point, they put a road sign every few miles on major trunk roads, showing HGV 40. The car obviously sees the 40, but doesn't understand HGV. In 80 odd miles of A75 between Stranraer and Dumfries, there's probably 20 signs in either direction. Same situation with the A77 between Stranraer and Glasgow. In the instruction book, it says that you can get the car to ignore the speed sign if, at the point where the display comes up with 40 detected, you either pull the ACC lever towards you, or press the button on the end of the ACC stalk. That's a pain in the butt as you can't do it quick enough so the car still slows marginally and you get the annoying warning noises for a mile or more until it decides the speed limit is back to 60. Any help would be appreciated
  17. They are Elroq specific. I haven't fitted them yet, but there's 4 holes in each flap, 2 holes line up with existing screws in the wheel arch and 2 holes that need to be drilled. They look to be a good fit, but I need to invest in a new trolley jack as the car's too heavy for the one i have, and you need to take the wheels off ☹️.
  18. Had front and rear dash cams fitted yesterday. Kenwood bundle with the DRV-A610W front + rear and hardwire kit. £237 for the hardware + £168 for fitting. Also got the all weather rubber floor mats which look pretty good quality plus front and rear mudflaps ( we needed these as we live in the country close to a dairy so roads are usually splattered with cow poop)(doesn't wash off easily once it's Sun dried) They gave us a newish Kodiaq as a courtesy car.. That was a strange experience, I guess mainly because we're now used to driving electric. The delay you get with stop start seemed strange after the instant pull away with electric. A 1500cc petrol engine tryng shift a car that size through the countryside was less than exciting. It did have, hiding away in the glovebox, the wiper for the infotainment screen. but, unlike the up market version that TAP got from ebay, it was just a dry wiper without the spray.. I'd ordered from Ebay after TAPs advice and they turned up yesyterday.
  19. Had an email from Skoda UK today with the code for my 2000 free miles. I've put it into Powerpass and it equates to £500 credit
  20. I emailed Customer Sevices at Skoda UK. They've passed on the query to the relevant department, so I'll give them a few days to see what they come up with.
  21. Not sure if it helps or not, but the one thing I do find that's different is the height of the floor. It is obviously higher because of the battery, but it means that your feet and knees are a bit higher in relation to your bum. We've had 2 Yeti's and a Karoq, and dont really see any difference in the seat height. In the Elroq, I have my seat all the way down and the steering wheel all the way up, but still have a job to get my knee under the steeing wheel when I get in. That, I believe, is the height of the floor. Once I'm in, I find it extremely comfortable. We have the Suite interior, but test drove one with Lodge and I don't recall it being any different. We have Electric seats in the Elroq and we had electric in the Karoq and the Yetis. The Boss has driven all 3 cars and hasn't mentioned that she finds any significant difference.
  22. I was just wondering if anyone has received their free miles yet. Our original email said we'd get a code by email a week or so after delivery of the car. Two weeks and a bit now and no email. It's not really a problem as we haven't needed to use public charging, but it would be nice to have if we were go on a long journey. The car is brilliant and we find something new everytime we go out. I doubt if we'll ever find out everything you can do in the Infotainment system, but if I remember half of what we find, then I'll be doing ok. We ordered a dog guard for it last week as Guardsman now have them available on their website.
  23. True, but we had Maxx and that includes everything in the advanced package, so I still dont know where to keep the tool kit if I take the boot floor to the lower level. I'll have to take everything out and take a proper look.
  24. I think I have a compressor and a bottle of tyre gunk. They are in the foam moulded spacer type thing under the boot floor just behind the rear seats. I said in a post previously that the car is advertised with a variable boot floor, but, presumably to lower the floor you need to take out the foan spacer and then find somewhere to keep the trye repait kit.
