  1. I can vouch for that. We had cream leather in the Karoq and stopped wearing jeans when we went out in the car. It did clean up fairly well though. Leather in the Elroq is black so hopefully jeans will still be allowed.
  2. Oops, apparently it's Alcantara. Invented in Japan and manufactured in Italy. Thank goodness for Wikipedia
  3. I went for Suite, mainly because we have our 2 Labs in the car and leather is easier to keep clean. We've had 2 x Yetis and a Karoq with leather and they were great. We also had an Octy Scout which was a brilliant car. It had Alcanterra which was really hard wearing. We have a Volvo XC40 at the moment with Micro Suede which looks like Alcanterra, but certainly isn't as sericeable. I think the Sportline is Micro Suede so I guess Alcanterra isn't on the market any more.
  4. Seems a bit inconsistant if Tap ordered on 9th December and doesn't yet have a build date, whereas Keefey ordered at the end of December and he's been told his car is built and awaiting transport. I'm assuming they build the cars in batches of colour? If so I guess delivery will depend on when your chosen colour batch is put through production. If that's the case, I'm guessing again that choosing Velvet Red Metallic probably wasn't the best choice for quick delivery, as at £1075, it's likely to be a fairly short batch at the end of the 20000 orders. At least up until 16th January, there were only 2 models available to order, and most UK orders were likely the 85 Edition.
  5. If anyone wants an idea on size, it's probably worth driving an Enyaq. They're built on the same platform, same wheelbase and if you check the sizes, they're pretty well identical in all measurements with the exception of length, where the Enyaq is about 5" longer, which all seems to be in the boot. I had an email from our dealer today to say "the" Elroq will be with them 14th March to 19th March. I suspect that it wasn't our Elroq, rather a demeonstrator for the dealer, but seems strange if they only have it for 5 days. You would have assumed that the Dealers would get a Demonstrator each, rather than having to share 🙃
  6. We made an appointment with our dealer on 21st December to go into the showroom on 27th Decemer to order our Elroq. Things didn't quite pan out like that and we finally ordered on the 7th January. The point though, is that the 0% PCP Deal with £3500 deposit contribution was showing on-line prior to the 21st December or we wouldn't have moved when we did. We've had no documentation from Skoda Finance to date, but I'm sure if there was an issue, they'd have told us. We did have contract information from Skoda UK confirming the order on 10th January and the same day, again from Skoda UK, an invitation to spin the wheel and win free miles, with a confirmation on 11th January, that we had wone 2000 miles. Hope that helps
  7. It'd be interesting to see how many have been sold in the UK. I see that Skoda UK are still advertising the million mile giveaway for the first 475 orders, so I guess, less than 475. We got chance to spin after we ordered ous and got 2000 miles which I think is actuelly a £500 charge pass. As far as spinning to win is concerned, there's 5 prizes for 10,000 miles, 5 for 4000 miles and 465 for 2000 miles, so the odds seem slightly tilted towards 2000 miles 😔 Currently with PCP there's 0% finance over 3 years with £3500 deposit contribution from Skoda Finance. We've bought a couple of cars in the past where we took advantage of the deposit contribution and then paid the loan off, interest free before the first payment was due, and we were certainly allowed to keep the deposit contribution. That was a few years back, so not sure whats allowed these days. Discount seems to be a dirty word these days. Our contract is directly with Skoda UK despite us ordering through a main dealer. I think the only way to any discount is on your trade in, if you have one, or by trying to scrounge some accessories. We went onto CarWow and the best offer we got was a discount of £3700, but that included £3500 deposit contribution from Skoda.
  8. No firm lead time given, other than the dealer said it should be ok before 1st April. That said, on the order the hand over estimate is 20th April which isn't ideal. My understanding is that the dealers are on a jolly down to Milton Keynes at the beginning of Feb, before cars arrive in the showrooms. Everything seems a bit fuzzy at the moment and i suspect even the dealers don't know for sure whats happening. I'll be calling in at the dealer next Friday to see if I can get any updates.
  9. Finally plucked up courage to order. 85 Edition, Velvet Red Metallic with Maxx pack. Dealer was hopefull we could get it before 1st April to avoid the Expensive Vehicle Supplement for year 2 - 6, although no guarantee.
  10. Almost ordered. Wanted 85 Edition, Suite, 20" wheels and Maxx. Had an appointment with the sales guy at the local retailer, but he didn't turn up as his wife had a baby the night before so can forgive him for that. Decided then to wait until they're in the showroom as I fancied Timiano Green but wanted to be sure before I ordered.
