Elroq: Who else has ordered?
Thanks mattnorris72. Found it as you said, easy to activate but I'm not sure I want it now. Everytime I walk into the garage, the car unlocks and then relocks when I walk out again. Need to either disable it or not have the keys with me. I guess leaving the keys in the kitchen is the sensible option.

Elroq: Who else has ordered?
Hi CDP10W I'm not sure it works the same way for all cars but, ours was week build 9, W/C 24th February. It was at Port of Exit (Embden) on 11th March, Port of Entry (Port of Tyne) around the 20th March, arrived at the dealer 27th March and we collected on 28th March. We managed to miss the Expensive car RFL supplement year 1 to year 6 by 3 days so I'm still smiling. I think they only use Port of Tyne for the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Elroq: Who else has ordered?
I took pictures today on my phone but, unfortunately, I don't know how to get them from my phone onto the forum so, maybe I'll have to retake them using an old fasioned appliance called a camera. Day 3 now, so I have to try and find fault which is pretty difficult, but, cup holders are pretty rubbish. The ones on our Volvo were bigger and had 4 little spring loaded fingers that would still hold a can securely. In the Elroq, it's just 2 cans. I'm struggling to understand the variable boot floor. It seems that to lower the boot floor, you have to take out the moulded storage gubbins, but that has a slot for the compressor and the bottle of tyre repair gunk, so if you take it out, you need to find a new home for them. I also understood that it had walkaway locking which should, presumably, lock the car when you walk away from it. Not sure how far you need to walk, but it hasn't worked so far. So, niggles rather than actual faults and, these aside, cars brilliant

Elroq: Who else has ordered?
Caught the bus to Dumfries this morning. About 60 miles and almost as many stops, in a bus that was hot enough to cook cakes. Had some lunch and then walked to the garage. Rather concerned that I couldn't see a red Elroq, but later found out that their chargers had been off-line all night so our car was plugged into a 175kW rapid charger. Finished the paperwork, had a lengthy hand over and then drove home. Absolutely loved it. Lots of things it'll take me weeks to get the hang of, but loved it anyway. I question why Skoda shipped a load of Elroqs to the UK for Demo's, none of which were uk spec. The one we tried had DCC which we knew we wouldn't get. It also had the 3 spoke steering wheel with paddles to control the level of regen. I knew I wouldn't get the 3 spoke steering wheel, but you don't get the paddles either. Re an earlier post when I asked if anyone had experience of Motorway, our Volvo XC40 went on the live auction on Monday. We accepted the best offer, but haven't heard a dickie from the purchaser. Had a message from Motorway this morning to ask if the car had been collected. We said no, so they are going to chase the purchaser. We've heard nothing all day so whether the car will need to go back to a live auction, who knows. If it does, maybe I'll try Carwow next time.

Elroq: Who else has ordered?
Hi Dani, I would say a Smart Charger is the best option for most people. The only reason I went the way I did is because our garage is detached from the house by a few metres. It has a good power supply and I already had a 32A Interlocked Isolator installed. The installers I spoke with wanted to install the charger on an outside wall of the house, close to the meter, which I didn't want.

Appreciate that Rory but, unfortunately, we don't have a Smart charger. We have a Third Rock Energy mobile charger with a 32A Commando Plug. We have PEN protection and all the goodies for safety and the charger kicks out 7.4kW so I can't really justify changing. I know I'd get an extra hour, but I wont be charging everyday. I think the rate is 1p/kWh cheaper as well, but I'd be a long time recouping £1k for a Smart charger, but thanks for pointing it out

I think it's possible, but basically you need to pay for the car before that can happen. I spoke to our dealer about it and he said if its PCP, pay the deposit and sign the finance agreement, or if it's cash, pay the lot. I guess that's understandable, but personally, I wouldn't be handing over that sort of money without seeing the car.

it'll be fine. We currently have Octopus Go for our PHEV. We'd like to change to Intelligent Octopus where you get 7 hrs of cheaprate, but they can communicate with the car and as long as it's plugged in, they can choose to charge it at any time, but always charged at cheap rate. Unfortunately, they cant yet communicate with the Elroq

Do you have your car yet TAP? I had a call from our dealer today to say our car is in the UK Port of Entry (presumably Port of Tyne) and they are expecting delivery the middle of next week. If you haven't had your car yet then I think ours might be a stretch. Sales rep suggested a handover on 31st March, but I'd want it taxing a few days before that as the Conspiracy Theorist in me thinks the DVLA Computer might break down on the last day before the new RFL rates come into play.

Elroq: Who else has ordered?
Had my test drive today in an Elroq 85 Edition. It had Lodge interior which was pretty smart. We did 65 miles on all sorts of roads and I was impressed with both the ride and the handling. Absolutely no pressure from the garage to get the car back to them, so could have gone further. No doubt that's because it was Skoda's car rather than the garages demonstrator. About 8 deg and not a lot of sun, but the trip recorded 3.8miles/kW. Acceleration was impressive, not disimilar to a Mini Cooper S that I had a few years back. Cetainly more spirited than our XC40 with its 3 cylinder 1.5 litre petrol. Seems that our car is currently at Embden awaiting a ship for Port of Tyne. Salesman was hopeful that he'd have it before the dreaded 1st April which would be good. Hopefully the two ships abandoned at the mouth of the Humber wont cause any delays to shipments to Port of Tyne.

Elroq: Who else has ordered?
I finally get to test drive the Elroq tomorrow. Mine was ordered 7th January and had a build week 9. I've no idea where it is now but hopefully I can twist the sales reps arm tomorrow to get up to date information. Before we moved, we used to deal with West End Skoda from Dumferline and they were brilliant at keeping you informed without having to interrogate them. Parks at Dumfries, less so. It'll be interesting to see how effective Traffic Sign Recogntion is. We have it on our current car but, unfortunately Traffic Scotland take delight in putting "HGV 40" signs every few miles on major trunk roads and the car doesn't know it's not an HGV. They're also currently discussing dropping the National Speed Limit down to 50 on single carriageway roads, which will be a bit of a bummer of it comes off. Should help range though!!. I don't drive like a granny, but I do drive like a grandad. I did see that Caffyns Tunbridge Wells have a red one available for immediate delivery. It has the Maxx Pack that we ordered, the Winter Pack that we didn't order, but it has Lodge Interior. We ordered Suite as we thought it would be easier to clean if the incontinance pants sprung a leak 😁 It is encouraging though to finally see a red one in the country. Gives us a bit of hope.
