you guys should look at LED lights on ebay, but be careful and get ones that are CE certified or whatever your local certifying agency is. ive been trialling some for a few years now and have decided to do the whole house. found some GU10 240v warm white 12watt 90degree LEDs (and dimmable) for about AUD$6each when I bought 10. the MR16s that are 12v I have had less luck, but have found an LED driver that appears to be working well for the moment. also dimmable.

I think youll find that's the US but the do that to keep costs down, and also easier to assemble and doesn't slow things down on the production line. my wifes fiat is the same with the release on the near side

IMO UPSs are cheaper than losing any sort of equipment, and anything you may have stored on them (photos etc) just buy a new one, stick with APC, Leibert or a company that does power products as their core product. Most UPSs will have a USB or Ethernet port for monitoring. USB for home products and small business. Older ones will have serial interfaces.

no, youll need new pins and plugs to suit the LED lamp. the square end of the plug is the ground/negative (I think) the middle is the 30(40)% lit LED, and the round end is the 100% (which you should use for your fog light)

you couldn't use the windows 7 driver for the devices you were having problems with? windows 7 and 8 are pretty much the same OS. the machine im using right now needed a few win7 drivers for optimum speed. yes it worked fine without them, but Im particular about how my machines run. my other laptop needed about 4 win7 drivers for it to work where I was happy using it. perhaps its as simple as that? check with the manufacturer of the hardware, they may have win8 drivers.

+1 on boost leak somewhere. jiggle all the charge pipes. also check the BOV (or whatever you poms call it) to make sure its not leaking or the diaphragm isn't damaged or stuck

there is a volume input level on the setup menu of the head unit. set it to 'low' for best results. if its already on low, then there may be a plug/cable loose or not sitting correctly

IMO apple haven't really invented anything. like most large companies its easier to buy a product and resell it than to 're-invent the wheel' apple have fantastic marketing and many many fanbois who will buy anything they sell. I find the iphone interface boring and it hasn't changed in over 5 years. I laughed when apple sued Samsung. I thought that was like biting the hand that feeds you as Samsung manufacture apple LCDs (at least for their mobile devices)
