Mine is saying "not found" and I assumed it was was they displayed when on a variable service but it would not tie in with yours...

May I ask if you went for a 7-pin or 13-pin? I was planning to go for 7-pin as I'm only using a Thule bike rack but if I understood correctly, it needs a 13-pin to detect something is attached but I may be wrong here

Does any of you have a technical case number for the km/h mph issue? I asked for mine straight after raising the issue and after following up on the status, I was answered "We have now had a response from the Skoda UK technical team with advice of comparing with a similar model on site here as this has not been raised previously to them." I find the above surprising so either the previous cases were ignored by the dealerships or the answer from the Technical team is incorrect...

Should it be available on the First Ed? I did not think it should without having the Full Matrix Headlights option.

It's also written on the paperwork on the car. At least, that's how I discovered mine was from end of June so 8-month in stock

So as expected they just returned my vehicle after acknowledging that there is a glitch. As I just took delivery of mine last week, I am covered by the 30 days window and finding about the non-compliance to the UK road regulation is likely to be the key lever, which will get Skoda UK to address this long standing issue (I have been CC'ing the head of PR and Press of skoda UK in my exchanges, should there is a need to publicize it at a later stage). I have only driven 60 miles or so in it but the car is nice so I am hopeful that they will address it promptly, failing that I could ask for a refund but I would much rather get the SW corrected or the head unit replaced as the first impressions of the car are positive. Btw, having worked in the customer service centre of General Motors (Opel and Vauxhall), I have seen my fair share of issues and all manufacturers have them. But if I was to change make, I would still be unable to buy a Vauxhall! Too many bad memories.

FYI - After raising the issue yesterday(went straight to the CEO of the dealership group), the dealership sent me a video on how to set in speed/units in the Columbus this morning. I have re-explained the HW issue and non-compliance to the UK road regulation. I provided a video to confirm it as well. Anyway, my dealership is coming to collect the car today as it is a software issue, which they will fix this quickly. I will keep you posted of whether they can fix it with a SW upgrade or not...

Afternoon, What is your understanding of the RDE2 compliance? Is it allowed for new registered cars after January 2021 to not be compliant and simply pay the increased 1st year road tax or do all new cars registered from January 2021 needs to be RDE2 compliant? Thanks,

@Matmacka You confirmed that your navigation is showing mph correctly; however, would you be able to confirm if the speedo unit changes correctly to km/h if you select km instead of miles in the units? That would be extremely helpful if you could. thanks in advance

I have been thinking about this one and since the car is not able to display km/h equivalent in the speedo, I believe the car is not compliant to UK regulations: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1986/1078/regulation/35/made Even my vRS mk2 without maxidot was indicating km/h in small on the dash. If the car is not compliant to the regulations, I believe it may force Skoda to address this sooner than later for the ones with the first HW revision. Is my understanding of the law correct?

Hello, I like the various clever compartments in the MK4 (i.e.: for hazard triangle, brush/Umbrella in door, etc.); however, there is one which is puzzling me. In the glove box, there is a "slot" that seems designed for something but it is empty. I cannot find any reference in the manual to it. does anyone know what accessories/pn could go there or what it should be used for? And talking of little accessories, should the car come with one or two umbrellas as standard? Thanks

Yes, I did become the primary user by registering both keys. I always use the same key but still experiencing the issue of being detected only once in a while.

Hello, Only picked up the car yesterday so still finding out the ins/outs but the first impressions are very good. However, when I get into the car, it sometimes recognizes my primary profile automatically but very often it sees me as guest; until I go select my profile manually. Is there something I can do to fix this? I'm the sole user of the car so I would be happy for it to be permanently set on my profile... Thanks

How can you find out what is the "date of birth" of your car? I am getting delivery of mine in 4 days but I believe it had been in stock for a bit due to the discount, I managed to get on it. Thanks
