I started this thread, and I've enjoyed the discussion which has been informative. When my Yeti arrives in August (please God), and i can finally have a picture of MY Yeti on this site, I can make an informed decision regarding whether to include the number plate.

I notice most pictures of cars on this site have their number plates blanked out. Why this secrecy - when our number plates are visible to the millions who may see the car in its lifetime? Indeed, the car which is often parked outside our house and carries ourselves and families in full view for the lifetime of the car? There may be a good reason - i just can't think of it. Chris

i ordered my 170 on 1st March also from Autofinders. i was given a build date within a couple of weeks (15 August)

any idea if the 'goodwill' payment will be paid if car purchased through Autofinders? (i've just had it confirmed that mine will be 26 weeks) Thanks Chris

My Yeti is now ordered!! (170 4x4), but i realise i don't know if it's permanent 4x4. another thread implied the rear wheels have 5-10% at all times and the 4x4 only kicks in when it detects slippage or if the Off Road button is employed. is that true?

After convincing her a VRs would be the ideal compromise for joint use, my wife refused to consider one after seeing the black and white seats!!! We have now had a 100bhp TDi Fabia Elegance for 6 months. While there's plenty of mid-range urge, and the leather accessories make a difference (and my wife loves the heated seats), it's still not a VRs and every time i see one i get green (red?) with envy:mad:. Was considering getting the engine chipped - but too many complications - insurance/warranty/handling. Oh well!!
