  1. No Problem - the only pain is getting the door card off - if you use masking tape to hold the glass up it saves a lot of extra hassle when putting the new mech in the door (at least it did when i did the front n/s mech)
  2. Look on eBay - if it's elecreic you can get the full regulator (minus the motor) for £17:50 including delivery - left and right hand here is the search results
  3. Have you checked the Back lights (especially the brake lights) to make sure they are all working as the glow plug light also is an indicator of faulty brake lights
  4. OK - I stand corrected - never listen to radio in my car (apart from traffic alerts)
  5. as far as i can remember most if not all AM radio broadcasts have been turned off
  6. paint code should be on a label under the boot liner from what i remember seeing on here :-)
  7. It's easier just to use some gaffer tape to hold the glass up in the door instead of removing it - 2 or 3 strips attached to the glass over the top of the door frame works (did that when i replaced the passenger side mechanism on mine
  8. if that doesn't work here is the link to the dash repair http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/213692-speedo-instrument-cluster-problems-solved/

  12. Yeah - for some strange reason they decided that if you move the drivers side mirror that the passenger side will need adjusted at the same time (guessing it's for different drivers settings) and then you have to re-adjust the passenger side mirror to get it back to where you wanted it. Total PITA
  13. Tray has been off for the last 6 years as it broke the side parts when it got dragged along the road so would need to replace the whole lot - fuel consumption might be down about 1-2mpg since it was ditched so not too bad
  14. Car went through its MOT first time with just a few advisories Rear Springs corroded (found these on ebay if they would fit) OSF brake fluctuating, but not excessively - could that just need the bolts nipped up (never came across this before) OSR wheel slightly damaged (may be an upgrade to alloys coming ) Exhaust centre clamp broken (guessing that's just the U clamp that needs replaced) the funny 2 are Under-trays fitted obscuring some underside components & Engine covers fitted obscuring some components in the engine bay never heard of that before as everything is standard Skoda and nothing changed - only thing that isn't there is he main tray that goes under the engine (some muppet in a garage failed to fasten it up properly and ended up dragging it along the road so took it off. Smoke test pass limit 1.50 1/m My car : 0.30 1/m Zero Drift : 0.00 1/m Mean Value : 0.30 1/m

  17. Anyone know where i can get a replacement chrome button for the handbrake for a 2004 Octavia estate - don't realy want to buy a full handbrake lever just for that little piece that you press in to release the handbrake.
  18. insurance company seem to be OK with the quote they got from the body shop - estimated date for completion 27th so stuck with a 2015 Sigma Estate with 23.1 miles on the clock until I get mine back
  19. OK - car taken off for repair through insurance - had a call from the bodyshop and they are quoting just under £700 for the repair so must be more than just superficial damage to the bumper - Glad i don't have to pay for it
  20. Mirror control looks like the bottom one in my car 2004 TDi ambient
