First go with the Collinite 476S..... Not 56k friendly

Featured Replies

Well just finished polishing and waxing one of the cars. It's the first time i've used the Collinite 476s wax after being a Swissol Onyx user for the last couple of years.

The Collinite is a little harder to buff of at times i found but i had applied tweo coats of polish and then two coats of the Collinite so it could just have been my strength starting to dwindle. :D

So seeing as i've washed both cars and then double polished & waxed mine i'm ready for a pint or two this evening. :D:D:D

Anyway some pics.....

My expert supervisor for the day..... :D

Brilliant shine to that, looks very good. I,ve just bought some collinite, so hopefully get to do mine this weekend

That black vRS looks stunning. Don't think mine ever looked that good and now it never will with 52,000 on the clock and lots of stonechips.

Collinite is supposed to be very durable so it will be interesting to hear how it holds up against the Swissol stuff.

The Onyx is a nice wax, but durable it aint. Thats the forte of the 476s

Its nice to put something a little more exotic on top of the Collinite too. :)

Yeah i must admit there's a nice finish to the 476s but it doesn't touch the finish of the Swissol Onyx..... But i do still have a bit of onyx left so might top it up with that.

Are you using collinite on the silver fabia? If you do, can you post some piccys up when its done.

I will be doing yeah...... The silver car is in real need of a full clay before polishing & waxing so will be a full day or two etc.....

As soon as i have done the silver one i'll put a reminder in this thread and post some pics in it's own thread.

Cool, i only wanted to know as mine is silver, and i wanted to see what it looked like when it was done. I will try and get mine do this weekend and post some piccys up :)

Yours will be done before ours then..... ;) I'm off to Dublin tomorrow for my stag do so the other car won't be done for a few weeks yet.

I use AutoGlym SRP..... Applied two coats then applied two coats of the Collinite.

Just my 2p but if you are to wax the Silver Fabia you will get better results from using Collinite 845 than 476...............durability is the same..............

Very good indeed

And AutoExpress recently revised their rankings to show that Collinite was the best for durabilty / shine etc.

Have a good stag weekend

I used it when we detailed Little Katie's silver Fabia vRS - have a look at the pics in my write up at Newbie v Silver Skoda Fabia vRS - Detailing World

Looks spot on mate!! Well worth the effort!
