Central Locking Problem

Featured Replies

Hello, this is my first Skoda and the car only had one problem when I bought it, the central locking. The guy said that he wasnt making enough money on it to sort it for me so I said I would find out how to sort it.

Its a 2000 Fabia Comfort 1.4 16v and the central working does not work at all, all have to be locked/unlocked manually. The internal switch on the door doesnt do anything but when I press the remote locking button on the key fob, I can here the solenoid move behind the dash.

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix it? Would this be a big thing to sort?

I look forward to your help.

Hi TartanMartin,

I have just found the thread for the fabia section, and I am now knowing that your central locking does not work at all. My problem was just the drivers door. It would seem to me that something has either been disconected in one of the doors for some reason, or a fuse or relay is bad.

maybe VAG-COM would show something up for the fabia. Someone else on this forum would know more about this than me.
