Right, someome/everyone please help me from going insane....here's my problem.

I have just filled my Fab RS to the brim with diesel, and when going to screw on the fuel cap noticed that there is no silver plate thingy across the mouth of the fuel tank (the bit where the fuel nozzle goes).

Now, I cant for the life of me remember if there was ever one there, I THINK there probably was, but am unsure, and it is driving me mad.

So, can you Fab RS owners pop outside and just check for me, because I am sure it should be there (or am I confusing it with the wife's Ford Fiesta which definately has one??)

IF there should be one there, any ideas where the hell it is now?......could it have fallen into the tank? Could it have temporarily disappeared because I brimmed the tank?

No it wasn't You are imagining things my friend. Its unusual to have an internal flap and a screw on cap.

Oh, and I had a Fabia vRS for 2 years and 45k miles, so I'm not making it up! :P
