Featured Replies

As the title suggests....but it cost me £57 to fill it to the brim!

I can remember when I first got my furby it only cost me £45! £1.23 a litre! I can remember the good old days when it only cost 65p a litre and Im only 28 years old!

Get it converted to gas. 49 - 51p per litre.

Ah the good old days, when paraffin went into them new-fangled agricultural traction-engines, diesel went into pantechnicons and petrol went into motoring-bicycles...

i managed to get 54 litres in mine last night , £65.29

I know its a Passat but I nearly died when it took nearly £90 to fill my motor up.

How the hell did you get 54 litres in yours?! I was on the red light and it onlytook 42 and then it spit some out at me afterwards!

You dont have to go to these extremes but you can carry out the ventectomy http://briskoda.net/forums/technical-guides/how-increase-your-diesel-tank-capacity/99759/ for Diesels only.

But the pics will let you see the small button you can push in the filler neck which gives about another 10 litres

My last fill-up cost me £64 and was 54.28 litres. :(:(:(

Cheers

Dave.

I've looked at the pics, but where's this magic button?

Just inside the filler.

Here ya go............. It's on the right hand side..... Just use the fuel pump to keep it pushed forward after you initially 'fill' the tank.... You can then get an extra 10 litres or so in.

You must drive like a granny to be getting mpg like that!!!!! We get 40-41 ish in ours..... My dragon boxed one gets the slightly better mpg out of our two.

Oh I see it. So fill to brim... then press the button... keep it held and continue to fill? I'll give it a go next time, and as I'm working away atm I've got about 140 miles a day to do so I'll be filling up regularly!!!

Are you talking about my 50.whatever mpg??? I know I'm as shocked as you!

I usually get anywhere between 400 & 440-ish before the low fuel light comes on..... Then get around the 500 mile or better mark out of a tank.

Yeah meant your sig MPG..... Was surprised when it showed the dragon baox car had the better MPG out of ours...... To be honest though it's probably because as we each drive both cars we probably push the other one that bit harder trying to get the same out of it. :D

Don't get me started on this.....it's on average 10p more a litre for weasel than petrol.

Maybe I should've bought an Octy vRS after all....

The price of oil is currently causing fuel prices to rocket, but it doesn't help when ours was stupidly expensive to start with due to all the bloody tax.

The Yanks are paying about 40p a litre and they're up in arms.....

If only. :(

When was ours last 40p a litre? 1963?

Fuel prices are stupid!. If an oil refinery in scotland was making x million over a few days. Just think how much Gordon BROWN is making out of us over the same peiod of time:mad:!

Well, he gets about 75ppl... for duty and VAT (last time I looked), but as there is VAT in the whole cost too, it's going to be more.

We are getting into a sticky situation I'm affraid it's going to be going up to £1.50 a litre for diesel before long unless the US can get it's **** out of the doldrums and people will take their moneu out of the dollar.

Optimist, Pessimist or Engineer......I'm the third one

Me too :D

No no no, take it from a Nuclear Safety engineer :) the Glass had a factor of safety of 2

Been Driving for nearly 4 years, When i passed i remember paying 79.9ppl

Today i Filled up and it costs me £1.29.9ppl :o

50ppl in less than 4years is a joke, Public transport where i live doesn't exist so driving is the only option.

And they say inflation is 3% atm?? Well im looking at it around 70% over 4years.

They say expect diesel to be around £1.80 around christmas :o

If that happens, im moving Abroad.

I think there is a serious boycote is in order. All fuel stations in the country should refuse to serve Golden Brown, the french have the right idea.

Bring the UK to a grinding holt..
