Featured Replies

howdy ho,

What badge is this then, the skoda one or the vrs style badge?

My word......that looks terrible :thumbdwn: So glad I have a coloured one :D

I started a post asking this about three days ago! lol

Hi

Mine is like that and Id like to know?

few things about your intake. do you not find you not got the same power when the engine is warm?

I had a Piper X one the same as you and it lost loads of power when hot so I went back to the std box. then I found a cheep CAI for the jetta on fleebay. goes into the bumper. not quite as much noise as the one you got but more power and feels better to drive.

only £40 worth a try. lol

bay looks nice though mate

I had a piper X and then went on to get one of the £40 ebay ones. Never happy that it filtered as well as the Piper X I got a 76mm 45degree silicon pipe from siliconhoses.com and now use my Piper X filter with the ebay CAI pipe. Also I drilled 8mm holes in the intake vent to provided more air to it. Works a treat

seconds to swap and bingo

mutch better :orb_cool_

and part number 038 103 940 B it says on bag

You got charged £20 for that!!!!!!!:eek::eek:

I got both ours, (One for each car), for about £7 each from the local dealer. I know ours is for the Fabia but it looks to be the same size / type etc.....

Now either Skoda have caught on to people buying them and have upped the price or your dealer is expensive.

Just noticed that the part number you have given is different to the Fabia one..... They are obviously slightly differant but how can they warrant one being more than double the price?????

I've added a pic to my original post to show how similar they are in zize / style.

Hey ho don't ya just loooove car dealers.

Cheers

Dave.

Hmmm they look good guys now iam have to do mine now:rofl:

I don't know about the Octy but on the Furby they were standard on cars up to about 05 reg then the black one's replaced them.

It was the first thing i changed on both our vRS's. :D:D:D

Cheers

Dave.

Its a black one also on mine mate so i will put the colour one on as it looks so much better:thumbup:

hmm? in ter esting :orb_boss:

could be worth a peek if anyone else dont wana get robbed?

but if you peek close the octy 1 got a shaped edge ring to it? if you peek at my pic of what you get its the badge with a surround? but it basicly got 3 prongs that clip in place and hold it . lol badges suck, if they just gave everyone the coloured one at the start rather than getting cheap :orb_no: then we all be happy
