As title says am getting the full WRC rally effect when lifting off throttle, also mpg seems to be suffering. Only running at low boost at 277bhp most of time.

Have removed MAF and cleaned, also removed air filter and given it a good clean and re-oiled same.

Performance doesn't seem to have been affected but wallet getting palpitations with increased trips to the V Power alter:D

Any thoughts anyone?

Do you have VAG-Com that you could check and see if it shows anything up ?

I'm sure you could do the lambda sensor yourself, but for peace of mind, maybe throw it into JBS and get them to look over it.

The "WRC effect" is caused by over-fuelling (deliberately, as an anti-lag measure in their case).

Suggests a lambda failure to me.

Id take it there as it could be either the 1st or 2nd one and they will be able to easily find out rather than mess about underneath

I had GEMS with Anti-lag on my Impreza.

Loved every minute of it.

As Matt says Jabba not exactly local, just that I get the impression JBS is a very good outfit although Jabba have done all the work on the car. Only thing I don't want to do is have to fork out for new remap,if its just a sensor JBS is pretty local to me. Just want the best for the car and keep her running sweet.

Wouldn't think a remap is required at all so you're safe there i would imagine.

Either JBS or Jabba should be able to diagnose this fairly quickly for you.
