Exhaust rattle/vibs when under load

Featured Replies

Pretty sure this has been mentioned before, but I cant seem to find it (mabe just being rubbish!).

My fely makes a fairly rank noise when pulling away with a heavy load in the back.

90% sure its the exhaust rubbing on something.

Any ideas? Plus, is it easy to fix??

Cheers :)

mine had the same thing. check that the rubber hasn't come off the bracket (exuast) . if thats not the case you prob have loose connection some were down the line. best bet take it to the garage to make sure if nothin serous. but could be something simple like i said above.

hope all goes well

Sometimes the exhaust can knock the axle at the back, especially if the exhaust isn't genuine or if the rubber support has worn.

I agree as the two above posts say

Dont get cheap factor rubbers, as they are very poor quality. Jorily on ebay sells the propper ones as he gets them direct from czech

I do have doubts on if its a suitable exhaust. Its got a different end to most fely exhausts.

Are the rubbers easy to change? Could I crawl underneath and DIY it?

Rubbers are pretty easy to change, but I'd want the car well up on proper axle stands for ease of access. Alternatively, you might be able to borrow a 4-wheel lift at a small garage for a couple of beer tokens.
