axel stand position

Featured Replies

hi all

cheers

IIRC, it's about 15cm behind the wheel arches. There's a kind of lip that sticks down all along the car, and if you look at the supplied windey-jack you get in the spare wheel well, you can see what I mean by the "supporting lip".

I think the positioning of the jack / axle stand is in the manual

The Octavia Owner's Manual explains the use of the standard car jack but has nothing about where to position a trolley jack or axle stands. :(

And still no Haynes manual !!!

Surely there are enough Octavias on the road to justify a manual now?

After all, they did a manual for the Felicia and the Octy MUST have outsold that by 2 or 3 times at least ?

Got the Haynes Manual for the Felicia. I start reading a chapter if ever I am having trouble getting to sleep....
