Vag Com

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, just purchased a vag com with a view to reducing cost (lost faith in the skoda dealership).

However, it wont connect as it telling me "K-line not connected" According to Ross-Tech, this is the 7th pin on the diagnostic port. Is there anything that can be done to rectify this?

What car do you have and what lead do you have?

Indeed, without knowing which car we are talking about here it's hard to come up with a real suggestion. However, if I read his profile right he has a 2.0T which would imply 2nd generation Octavia. On those the K-line isn't doing much if anything at all, CAN is the key.

and which cable?

Obd 2 Usb

Is it a genuine Ross Tech cable or eBay special?

Unfortunately an ebay special.

That makes things a little more random then. Have you been able to try it on another car?

I don't know anyone that would allow me to test it on their car

Try the search here and see if others have had the problem as there are one or two people who have worked hard to get the 3rd party leads working.
