Scratch to climatronic facia

Featured Replies

I've got a small scratch to the dark grey plastic of the dual zone climatronic on my mk2 vrs. It's only just noticable but I know it's there :)

Any recommendations to removal of such a mark? Is there any sort of polish or technique to cure scratches in plastic?

Out of curiosity (and worst case), can I get a new facia for the climatronic unit at all?

Cheers for the link have you tried that product before?

Brasso wadding if its plastic :)

Works a treat on shining up normal cut plastics so it should hopeflly work on that too.

When you say the climatronic unit do you mean one of the kn0bs, one of the small displays or the plastic surround?

I mean in the grey plastic of the climatronic near the little LCD display that shows the selected temperature.

Could try Poorboys World Natural Look Dressing or some grey shoe polish?

brasso should work on it if it's not too deep.

Brasso? That's one I've not thought of before. ;)

The brasso will blunt the edges of the scratch as it's a very fine abrasive, but much cheaper than a specialist polish.
