Hi,

In reply:

No zenons due to i will have to stump up the cash myself, and will prob fit aftermarket kit myself.

It is a long way off but that is the date i am due to change, and i wanted to ensure delivery on the 1st.

I have only had the A4 for 15 months, was a handme down replacing a Focus 1.8 TDCi Zetec (which was also a handme down) after moving into a trial period in project sales. We keep the cars at work for quite a while, not got a problem with that, just means you have to chose carefully, if you like cars.

Will be very nice to have my own car from new, well overdue, but worth the wait me thinks.

Thanks

Daz

Well, the time to pick up my new car is nearly here, finally.

Can not wait.

What are peoples recommendations on running in, or how to drive it for a start. Working on a site in Aberyswyth, Wales so got some miles to do and was just wondering with never having a new car before.

I do know that you should not let the car idle on tick-over due to glazing, but apart form that is it just to gradually take the car up the rev range over the first 1000 miles or so.

Thank you in advance.

Daz

Just drive it normally, keep an eye on the oil aswell.

Enjoy it when arrives, and glad you got the best colour too.

use it, but don't abuse it...my vrs dsg is just coming up to the 1k mark, and i'm finally starting to kick **** out of it :)..i've had many new cars in the past, and the worst thing you can do is 'mollycoddle' it..don't 'red line' it, but you can still push it..i've found that is the best way to run it in..i hope you enjoy yours as much as i'm enjoying mine..you should have got black magic though:D

Trust me, once its run in you will love it

Mine's now done 2500 :D

Only getting better :D
