I am looking for some new tyres, key factors for me are road comfort (fewer bumps, shakes etc) and grip.

I am not at all fussed either way about branding, and would be looking for something at a decent price so top-of-the-range branded tyres are out of question.

Have a look at Mytyres, Black Circles, or your local National Tyres have some offers on Barum & Avon tyres at the moment, with Tesco Clubcard points as well.

I am aware that there are companies that offer tyres for sale over the internet but there is simply too much choice.

I am hoping that a Fabia owner who has been through similar decisions would be able to advise me on a suitable tyre.

What sort of price are you looking to pay and what size do you need?

Hi, I have put the sizes of my current tyres in the first post. In terms of prices it depends upon they tyre and I don't have a fixed budget. In terms of price ranges (min-max) I guess I would be looking at 40-70%

I bought two 185 60 14 Vredestein Hi-Tracs for £82.40, great tyres fitted on the front of my Fabia TDI estate.

Check Cheap Tyres Discount Tyres & Japanese Import Car Parts Spares Tuning Performance :: too - great service and prices, and next-day delivery. Then just find a decent local tyre fitter when they arrive.

The Vredestein tyres look really good and well within budget. I have found them for £33.30 inc. VAT and delivery from Tyres at mytyres.co.uk: car tyres, 4x4 tyres and van tyres at low prices, just need to find a cheap local fitter in Rotherham/Barnsley.

Still open to other suggestions though!

I've just put 2 Toyo Proxes CF1's onto the front of swmbo's Yaris. They were a 185/60 15's. The pair fitted and balanced for £82. They seem to have good reviews for wear and grip. Will see what the road noise is like soon.

Local independant for Barum or Nang Kang. soft ride hard wearing and safe

It really depends on what you do and how you want to drive

If you want to commute or general motoring then the above

If you want to race around and be safe then EAGLES or OTHER top tyres
