Forge Split-R dump Valve?

Featured Replies

Just purchased a forge split-r dump valve for my ocvty vrs.. Just wondering is there any power gains with this? I'm all new to this Turbo fun!! First modification to my vrs... I'll probably catch the bug like all you guys:thumbup:!! Induction kit next goin to adjust one i had my previous car to fit the octy.. Power gains again?? Any Idea??

I don't think you'll be getting any gains from this. Possibly better throttle response if it closes quicker than a standard one. I doubt you'd notice it though.

To be honest the sound was the main reason for the purchase! Thanks for letting me know..

Nope, no gains i wouldn;t imagine, unless your old one was knackered.

Iv just got a forge split r like yourself but havnt fitted it yet wots it sound like ?

You can get the dump valve noise if you get a CAI, especially if the cars remapped.

sorry to be a beginner ,but whats a CAI?

its ok i worked it out

IIRC you will loose boost pressure and power if you have the Split R set to full Dump Mode.

A CAI will get you the best noise if that is what your after.
