Rear Parking Sensor Popped Out!

Featured Replies

Hi Forum

Was the victim of someone giving my Octavia a friendly tap yesterday with their car (grrr) no damage at all apart from One of the Factory Fitted Rear Parking Sensors has been pushed into the Bumper..

Are these accessiabe eaisly somewhere from underneath to just "pop" it back in? or is this likely to be a dealer job.. There is no other damage to the rear apart from this one parking sensor :-)

JC

Yes - someone did the same to me

I just unscrewed the torx screws on the underneath trim and poped it back easy really

Its a bit awkward but you can reach in behind the bumper with the rear jacked up (with axel stands). I disconnected & reconnected all the connections to mine recently (as they were put on wrong when the bumper was last off).

Same thing happened to me.

My local dealer sorted it out FOC in about 15 minutes. From talking with the service manager, it sounds like it happens quite regularly.

Bagpuss.
