Hi,

Only just joined and first time on this forum thing.....

I have an Octy VRS estate 2006 during the last week I have heard a horrible "CRACKING" noise comming from the front end when I negotiate speed bumps and occasionally when I pull out of junctions..I can feel it in the steering rack, no dash warning lights are on and the car seems to be handling ok. ANY IDEAS????

Thanks

ANY IDEAS????

Yes, take it to a dealers as soon as

sounds to me like what happens when you pull away fast and ESP doesnt kick in fast enough, the wheels loose traction and rather than go forward, have a tendancy to wind the suspension up soon as it leaves the ground traction is completely lost and the wheel bounces back down, sounds and feel horrible, try pulling away with the esp and you'll soon get the car to do it, compare it, i've got a feeling thats what your experiencing anyway, i've some times had the same sound and shock going over bumps and speed humps

Front ARB bushes.

snapped suspension spring?

Sounds like a broken ****** going metal to metal.

Dealer visit ASAP or even call Skoda Assistance (RAC) if you don't feel like driving it.
