Induction Kits??

Featured Replies

thinking of fitting a cold air induction kit to the VRS, does anyone have any recommendations of which way to go based on what they have on theirs, or is a replacement filter the best way to go as i have heard that inductions kits can mess up the MAF sensor.

Thanks

The theory is that it's oil from induction kits that mess up the MAF, so fit an oil-free filter like those from Pipercross and you'll be fine.

My preference on the 1.8T engine would be a remote filter like the Carbonio intake / Pipercross VIS kit. Velocity Intake Systems (VIS) | Pipercross Air Filters

I have a carbonio which I love, the noise Is head turning.

I use a K&N cleaning kit to clean mine which requires oil to be put on the cone, but as long as you don't over do it, you will have no problems.

Just tea Towel all the excess off after oiling it.

I agree with mluton. I have the carbonio kit on mine, and coupled with the Forge 007 dump valve, such a sweet noise which will get you noticed lol

The ABD cold air induction pipe works nicely, 3" pipework all the way to the MAF.

Not the best/clearest picture in the world of it, but you get the idea!

Steve:)

Another vote for the ABD Racing CAI. Great piece of kit.
