Vrs 2.0 TFSI

Featured Replies

Hello

Sorry if this is an obvious question but I've searched and can't find the answer (probably looking in the wrong place!)

I think I have established form threads that the 2.0 TFSi is cambelt and not chain (is that right). If so does anyone know when it should be changed in terms of years and miles?

Thanks

Correct, its belt. The change interval is 60K or 4 years whichever occurs first.

Anyone an idea of the sort of cost of a new cambelt on a 2.0 TFSi VRS Petrol. I've seen one I'm thinking of buying but it's nearly at cambelt miles.

Thanks

Not sure, but could be £200 ish pounds. If you are looking to buy from a dealer try and get it done as part of the deal.

Exactly, get them to do the full service and belt before you buy.

IIRC (and im pretty sure I am) the TFSi has a 100k cambelt interval.
