Mk1 VRS exhaust center mount

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

This has been covered many times before and I believe it is a common problem... My center mount is rattling/squeeking, looking at it looks like there is a peice missing from the top of the mount!

Has anyone got a picture of what it should look like? This would help very much with trying to repair it.

Many thanks

Chris

I have but its printed on paper and very dirty. Ill try and take a picture when I get home from work.

Thanks very much

I will post a pic of my broken one when I get home too, I took one yesterday.

if it helps any, my centre mount is a couple of Jubilee clips, and has been through 3 MOTs and 2 dealer services like that no problems.

I have pictures of the fix with the jubliee clips in place, will post them up also.

Thanks guys that will be a great help. :)

Sorry there late mate.

As I said previously I had mine welded at kwik fit for £15. But you can use the method below.

That works as long as there is something to put the clips around, sometimes they are so rotten the only option is a new centre box.

PS: I did try to post some pics of my broken one but file size to large... Looks just the same as the one in the pics above anyway minus the clips.

you could always buy my Milltek centre section..........
