That'll polish out I reckon...

funny enough, I went to an RTI a few weeks ago invloving a ?? Aygo that had ben side swiped at a very fast junction, and it looked very similar - the girl driver got out with a fractured pelvis (airlifted to hospital after the Fire Brigade cut the roof off) and the FSP was just bruised by the seat belt.

Cars these days are built so much safer!!

Feck me thats tiny now!!!

Blimey, that is shocking :( Hope everyone was ok.

Looks like a lorry didn't stop soon enough...

Hey, it sort of looks like a Roomster now... lol

It looks as though something high has hit, like a HGV cab or similar, have to say that if that was me and i still had the furby my boy would be brown bread, as looking at the back his car seat would be mating with the passenger seat....Not good....:thumbdwn:

Oh well, at least the exhaust was ok.

Looks very similar to a place I visited near Thame. :)

Allparts, perchance?

Bloody Hell!!!

I wonder why the passenger 'bag didnt deploy as it looks rammed in the back and has damage to the front.

Dear me ! Thats a sore one.

I hope nothing like that ever happens with kids in the back etc :(

Frightning stuff.

I was thinking of having an LPG conversion, After seeing this I've changed my mind it would have gone up like a ton of semtex! S++t i hope no one was killed

That is a frightening picture

It's horrible to think what might have happened if there were any kinds in the back :(

I’ve been thinking about LPG a lot. From the research I’ve done so far that wouldn’t actually happen. The tanks/systems are tested for this exact type of accident and independent testing results show the LPG tank is as safe as a petrol tank/system.

Having seen the results I still think there are inconsistencies. For Example. If LPG is as safe as petrol why are they still banned from the chunnel?

Didn't realise it was banned in chunnel. there must be a reason, and after seing the picture I'm definately not going to go ahead i dont want to turn the furby into a bomb there has to be another way

front passenger airbag will only deploy if someone is sat in that seat

also depending on the frontal impact speed/severity the driver airbag may not even go off either

An LPG cylinder could have caused even more damage to the passengers as it is a really hard metal object between the damaged area and the occupants.

re: LPG and the chunnel....

LPG is heavier than air, so if will tend to pool like water does in low areas before it evaporates. It can be both an asphyxiation and/or explosion hazard. Natural gas, on the other hand, is lighter than air....
