Variable Serviceing Question

Featured Replies

My Vrs is a 06 BLT engine, and the book says its set to schedule QG0, now i'm no engineer , pretty far from it to be honest.

My question is, my service book has 2 stamps in it one from 8042 miles at a year old when the oil was changed then the next stamp is at two years old at 14929 miles when the oil wasnt changed. Now im just at 20000 miles and the book says my next service needs to be done at 24929 or three years, happy with that but that means the oil will have done 16887 miles ,,,,,,is this right ??

Cheers all, si

The fabia is not capable of variable servicing (QG1 in service book) QG0 is fixed servicing which is 10K or 12 months whichever occurs first.

1st service 10K or 12 months = oil change only

2nd service 20k or 24months = full maintenance service.

3rd service 30K or 3 years = oil change only.

No your doesnt run on variable.

How do you know the oil wasnt changed at 14929, it should have been and more than likely was. If you dont have an invoice for that service call the dealer and ask them to double check for you.

The engine oil change little tick box is ticked in the 'No' box mate for the 14929 service
