Hi,

The ABS warning light has come on in my Fabia (Y-2001 reg, 1.4 16v), the guy at the garage quoted me £970 for the replacement ABS Control/Pump unit - so I'm trying to track down a working replacement.

Everyone I ask is looking for a part number but I can't find one on the unit in my Fabia - does anyone know what this part number might be? Or where I could get a replacement?

Any help would be much appreciated!

I've got the same problem. I've found these guys and am considering buying a reconditioned one from them for £295. They have part numbers too, which I think might be the same ones others use.

Have you had the fault codes read to check that it is not one of the wheel

sensors which has failed?

Did the garage who quoted you for a new ABS unit prove it is the ABS control unit/pump and not a sensor?

I have just used that site to identify the PN of the ECU for my Octavia 1.8T 4X4. It quoted the wrong part, ie for the Octavia vRS, so use with caution. A diagnostic check with VAG-COM will reveal the part number for the ABS fitted if you can't read it off the part itself.
