Look on the DVLA website mate, type dvla personalised registrations into google.

I got J88 VRS for £250, expect to pay quite a bit for anything with MATT in it, probabky 1k upwards.

Thats where i got that MI55MAT from!ha! Its £2000+ Which i fill is way to long for that sort of money!

Avoid something like M3 MAT, X5 MAT, etc. etc. Putting them on anything other than an M3 or X5 makes you look like a sad wannabe. Private plates aren't really my thing full-stop, although some are better than others (for instance, I did consider buying MY54 VRS, but at £800 it's one expensive bit of plastic...)

Personally, I don't like private plates, but I am in favour of other people having them... it is a good warning that the occupier of the vehicle is potentially a tit (present company excepted).

Another favourite are those little fishes which fundamentalist Christians stick on their cars. Always a nice heads up to the fact that they are likely to drive at a maximum speed of 12MPH and that they never check their mirrors.

Why do they feel the need to advertise their beliefs? Did see one of these:

...on the back of a car, though, which was just about excusable! :D

  I know what you mean.

fish symbol = overtake as soon as possible and get out of their vicinity quickly

I like private plates. As long as they aren't illegally spaced or altered using black dots to read differently...

With regards to Christians displaying fishes. I guess it's the same reason why some football fans display their team logos, perhaps why some car groups like to have stickers identifying themselves..... ;)

Yeah, I suppose. But you always get that slightly creepy feeling that they're displaying it in a manner that kind of implies they think you're wrong... :(

I have JA53 VRS

Names Jason and drive a VRS

LOL

Dont slag the private plates ;)

yep - common (no offense :)) name. Not much below £1k. elitereg.co.uk have y700mat for £725 but that's prob + vat and transfer fee (£80?)

changing your name may be cheaper!!

But it makes your car look older than it really is - not that I suppose that really matters... :)

My car has been touched by his noodly appendages.

If you are wanting a cheap private plate, I have S50 VRS for sale...£225.

I have L55 GRM for lewis graham and my dad has F55 GRM for frank graham

GRM was the local ending for number plates round here many years ago lol

between L55 and F55 there was £500 diference ! really wasn't worth it but they do look kind of cool in our yard together

who cares what others think if you like it DO IT

I like private plates UNLESS they have non-standard fonts or dodgy spacing.

It looks like M155 MAT is the only MAT (prefix style) plate left on the DVLA website.

M4 T** are all gone

A few M44 T** around - you might get lucky and find two last letters that mean something.

But your either going to have to get imaginative, or spend a lot of cash at one of the 2nd hand plate re-sellers

If you have a 54 plate (or newer) vRS, then you need.....

VR54MAT.jpg

£799 from the DVLA

M417 HEW

That's on regtransfers.

correct

Only 6 months though,

Plus if you think about it any private plate will make a car appear older unless you get the same year reg, my case being 04
